Is This the Trigger?

Will this video become the event that will unite the occupation against the police?

Whether the event that will be used to start violence across the country is contrived, an accident or the actions of a few, it is only a matter of time before the Occupy Wall Street movement turns violent. Several media pundits have been forecasting this “eventuality” and we can only pray that our society will not succumb to this tactic.

The latest condition of Scott Olsen comes from his roommate:

I’m Scott Olsen’s roommate and served with Scott in Iraq… I just want to thank everyone for this message. I’m going to pass it to him when I see him again today. Thanks everyone for your support.. He’s doing much better and they expect a full recovery!! Now stop watching this video and go out and protest.

The video that he referenced comes from Anonymous who has already starting attacking the Oakland Police Department.

Sorry, but the police were correct in this one. Once ordered to leave and the order is not obeyed, then game on. If you’re a protester and fail to obey a legal order by the police, shame on you. This my friend is called rule of law. If you have NO respect for authority, then I can not take your side.

Scott O., according to many reports was dishonorably discharged from the Corps due to usage of Crack-Cocaine. His website (now taken down) titled “I hate the Marines”.

    David, your Trigger:

Cut off the 45 million on food stamps, and boot everone off unemployment and you’ll see just how bad this depression is compared to the 30’s.

I can’t remember who said it but it’s true “A society is only 3 meals away from revolution”.

That’s the sad part about a trigger: it doesn’t matter who is right or wrong as long as it serves its purpose.

From what I have read, the occupiers make a convincing argument that one policeman shot Scott Olsen in the head with a metal tear gas canister from approximately 10 feet away. The video clearly shows several people going to his aid and the police firing another tear gas canister (or flash grenade) directly into this group. If this was a war then that is a violation of the Geneva convention: you cannot attack people who are rendering aid.

OccupyMARINES have released a series of demands including:

In Response To The Oakland Shooting Of Scott Olsen OccupyMARINES Request The Following:
The GOP Cowards Responsible For Influencing This Event Be Brought To Justice. Track Names And Photos Of Each And Email Them To Us
Identify The 300 OPD Riot Officers By Name, Photo, And Badge Number With Boots On The Ground Engaging In Illegal Excessive Force Acts Against Peaceful Americans For Prosecution.
Identify The Officer Responsible For Harming Scott Olsen By Name And Photo For Prosecution.
The Honorable Resignation Of Oakland Mayor Jean Quan And Acting Police Chief Howard Jordan.
A Public Apology From California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. For The Unlawful Injury Of Our Brother Scott Olsen.

OccupyMARINES will make this their centerpiece of organization:

  2. Hmm…..Tear gas canisters don’t normally resemble fireworks like the alleged canister pointed out in the video.
