Murder by Cop

Another polarizing issue for our country to digest. Reading comments about this murder shows two opinions:

1. Murder
2. Justifiable shooting because Mr. Shaver did not obey

I obviously believe this was a murder. Ask any law enforcement officer and they will tell you that you must submit and obey their instructions. No questions, no rights and in this case, no humanity. Officer Brailsford was found not guilty of second degree murder. What is the solution? The obvious solution is to take the “law” into the hands of the people. If law enforcement and the courts fail to protect us, what other recourse is there? If there are no consequences to bad behavior, it will continue and spread.

Is this an isolated incident? Will there be any consequences to this murder? Who will raise Mr. Shaver’s children? For those who believe opinion 2 above is correct, these questions are irrelevant. Until it happens to you or someone you love. The analogy between tyranny at a personal level vs. the national level should also be discussed. If this was a black or Hispanic man, would the consequences be different? For those who balk at this question, you should familiarize yourself with the Kate Steinle murder.

Would you obey as instructed by a law enforcement officer as shown above? That is not the real question that we should be asking. The real question is why would we ever have to be put into this situation by the police? I encourage everyone to get to know their local law enforcement officers and develop a relationship with them if possible. You will be surprised by the number of good officers and you will also learn which ones are like Mr. Brailsford.

David -- as much as I respect your advice, in this situation “get to know your local…” would have zero effect as Mr Shaver was outside his local jurisdiction.

The issue here is why should any agent of the state have the delegated authority to kill upon presumption of the presence of a weapon?

The core problem is the extension of “privileges and immunities” to agents of the legislative domain.

Good men living under common law would never tolerate this kind of police action.

“Common-law does not presume to hold any authority or power over individuals when they conduct their daily business in a peaceful manner.”

And there, my friend, is a clue …

… not the answer, but an important indicator.

Good Health and a Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Police appear to have license to kill, even murder, with impunity. On another site featuring this incident someone commented that the victim ‘would still be alive if he’d just followed the officer’s instructions’. The comment made me ill, because NOBODY could have satisfactorily and fully followed that officer’s instructions. The officer was on a power trip and wanted to threaten and abuse, and he hoped for an excuse to shoot the victim. The officer committed cold blooded murder of an innocent man, and a jury -- -- which had access to the full video -- -- stupidly acquitted the murdering officer. I know LEOs that are fine people, but some of them are awful and a threat to the public. The justice system provides no credible relief, and I see no hope for improvement -- -- unless we the people start executing the murdering officers. Not all officers, just the threatening abusing murdering ones. When the justice system fails the public, the public has a right to protect itself and pursue justice.

You said we won’t see any improvement unless we the people start executing the murdering officers. Not ALL officers, just the threatening abusing murdering ones.

Where was this cop’s partner? His supervisor? Where were the ‘good’ cops?
BECAUSE we don’t see the so called good cops step up to weed these murdering bastards out of the departments -- that is why there will be executions of cops that haven’t done such as this one did.

Gee good to hear from the usual occupiers, ANTIFA, and mental defectives. Wouldn’t it be great to see how each of these defectives would act in the same situation.

So would you label yourself an accomplice to murder by supporting murderous thugs with your tax money or perhaps just a cheerleader in support of a murderer? Or Ann, perhaps you can’t see around the “official left/right narrative” long enough to think for yourself…….

Two words: Murderous. Pig.

Such should receive as they have done unto others.
While they live, no one is safe.

Pure Murder. No justification for this officer’s actions.
