One Response to The Bugout Bag Checklist

  1. Also pack means of staring a fire: waterproof matches, magnifying glass, magnesium/steel etc. Always think the three “B’s”: Beans, Bullets, Bandages and Bibles. Depending on terrain and situation you might also want a hatchet (or tomahawk), wire saw, large hunting knife, folding knife, and/or machete. A soap dish with fishing gear inside is also nice to have. So are spare boot socks and foot powder. I also lash a rolled up military poncho to my pack. It is used for shelter, or to sleep on or in. And think what you will use for toilet paper or substitute. Try to keep antibiotics on hand as well.
