If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.
This is an important distinction: sedition applies to the Government of the United States, not the Restoration of the Constitution. Opposing the authority of the government which is now in the hands of the executive branch, can be grounds for arrest and conviction for sedition. Think about these points:
1. The oath to uphold the Constitution is not being honored by our military and elected officials. Support for the government overrules their allegiance to the Constitution in Washington and the military leadership.
2. Obamacare mandates that we fund abortions under the guise of a “tax”. Does anyone think our Constitution mandates the funding of death?
3. The distinction between honoring the Constitution vs. honoring the government is moot on Judgment Day.
4. I would rather be tried for sedition than treason.
