Farm Census – More Intrusion

Private-Property-Sign-Closed-Farm-Field-Crop

The USDA “Census of Agriculture” is a government-run farm surveillance program designed to register and inventory detailed private data on farm assets, operations and personnel. A census form is mailed to each farmer in the United States, accompanied by threats of compliance and a warning that farmers who do not comply will be visited in person by government agents.

Most Americans don’t yet realize that President Obama has already signed an executive order declaring government ownership and control over all farms, food, livestock, seeds, farm equipment and more. Why assist them? We’d be braiding the rope they use to hang us!

Important to read if you farm (even backyard garden).

I’ve received three census forms by mail and two phone calls already. I have refused to comply. While I’m no lawyer, there is a potential alternative to standing at the farm gate with a shotgun; a lawful recourse to resist this intrusion. Begin with Public Law 93-579.

Should the USDA send an ‘agent’, one might require the ‘agent’ to complete a public servant’s questionnaire under Public Law 93-579. Click here for a copy.

After/if one receives the completed questionnaire, one might politely inform the agent that they have no authority under the Constitution to request the information.

This is one of my ‘lines in the sand’. There are others, including the Second Amendment. We all have to determine whether we are willing to submit to tyranny or resist. If we decide to resist, we each need to determine what our personal ‘lines in the sand’ are going to be; determine the ‘line’ and then determine the limits of our resistance. If we ultimately acquiesce after drawing the ‘line’, then it wasn’t much of a ‘line’, right?

The US government is not God and its agents are not His angels. They are not ‘here to help’. At some point, we need to push back. This seems a good place to start.

I returned my form and just indicated that I no longer farm, in a bold hand written note across the top.
