NC governor sues Obama administration over bathroom law challenge

North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory on Monday filed suit against the Department of Justice over its challenge to the state’s controversial transgender bathroom law.

The state was facing a Monday deadline set by the Obama administration to respond to its demand that North Carolina either scrap the law or face legal action and risk losing federal funds.

The best defense is a good offense.

    I love it!!!!

As well he should.. The Obama government is filled with discrimination across this country and yet it focuses on bathrooms as a civil rights violation?

I resent and reject the idea that LGBTQ people and black persons were/are fighting the same bathroom laws cured by a Title 7.

Deadline, my foot! If states were smart, they’d assert their 10th Amendment rights and tell the fed to piss off! The fed has NO CONTROL if the states don’t take their money.
States forget, they have the power to compel the fed to back off by withholding tax monies until the fed complies. It’s a simple “checkmate” IF they were determined to break the hold.
    Question is: will they…?
