Question for Virginia Lobby Day

There has been a lot of back and forth and snide comments about the coming Lobby day on the 20th in Virginia.

Aesop is calling everyone stupid. Matt Bracken says its a trap and a Buffalo jump. Others say everyone should go and that Matt may be right, but we should be there to support our 2A rights.

It’s all over the place.

Look most of us in this liberty movement all read the same twenty or so websites everyday. We all know each others thoughts and appreciate everyone’s opinion. But this is a fine example of how the Liberty movement can’t agree on something as simple as what is the color of grass. We are all free thinkers. We all think our opinions are always right. It just seems to be the nature of the beast.

Question. If most of those people going to Virginia read our blogs and have heard all our opinions, and read all our news articles we have posted, and are still going on the 20th, who are you to judge? Everyone going probably know’s it’s a trap. Everyone going probably knows there is going to be something that happens that will be out of their control. What if they have made their peace with that? What if they have decided it’s time to stand, this is it, no more? What if they are so called, calling the governments bluff? What if they have decided it’s time to put up or shut up?

We all know there is no living with these people on the left. They are communist. We just want to be left alone and to be free. So maybe Virginians have said, well seems no one is willing to get this party started, maybe we’ll give it a shot.

The only thing that we know about the future is that these communist aim to rule us, or exterminate us. Sooner or later a stand has to be made. Is it wise to start this stand on the 20th in Virginia? According to many, No. But that isn’t yours or mine decision to make. We are all individuals. We all have free will. We all have to decide our individual fate.

Just something to think about instead of lashing out at everyone and calling them stupid.

Pray for the people in Virginia on the 20th.

Evil must always be confronted.

  1. Patricat says:

    Good article!
I believe that your general assessment regarding the inevitability of the conflict is spot-on.
The communists will always keep pushing to oppress all free people. Eventually push will come to shove, and it will be on. It might be delayed or shifted in some ways, but they will never stop. The conflict is inevitable. This town ain’t big enough for both of us.
Just get ready in every way possible for the long conflict. Prepare prepare prepare. No matter how much you want to avoid conflict, they will bring it to you. You must fight it, or you will die. They give no quarter. Get ready. It is just a matter of when.

    • No one in their right mind wants it but anyone with a brain knows that it is coming. Black flag when it gets here, black flag.

      • Charles in VA says:

I honestly question that assertion, Allan. It would appear that many are actually looking forward to it. Or perhaps I’ve simply overestimated the percentage of sane people inhabiting this country.

Most recent estimates are between 46% and 51% of the population are on some kind of mind altering drugs, whether prescription or not.

I wonder how may attendees will be under the influence on the 20th…and I’m betting the number ISN’T zero.

        • Steven in FLORIDA. says:

I seem to remember one Virginians affirmation many years ago. And I quote…” Is life so dear or, peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?! I know not wha5 course others may take but as for me. Give me Liberty or, give me Death!”
          Patrick Henry

          • Charles in VA says:

I fail to see how that bears on this particular conversation. I’m as big an admirer of Patrick Henry as anyone, but I fail to see the point you seem to be trying to make here.

And you left out “Forbid it, Almighty God!”

Just cut it out of the middle of the quote entirely.

            Wassup wid dat?

I think you said more than you meant to by NOT saying it.

        • Big Jim says:

Why? You must be planning on attending the Charles?

  2. says:

Why do people not attack the core of the problem Freemasons… they are the back bone of all this bullshit!!!

    • Charles in VA says:

Not to get too far into the weeds here, but those boys are small potatoes compared to the Fabian Socialist crowd. There’s your New World Order Satanic Empire Globalist threat…in conjunction with the Vatican.

      Let the sh!tstorm begin!

  3. Missouri says:

Standing up for Liberty may take courage but it is never a “Fool’s Errand.”

  4. keithjim says:

Beware of Antifa dressed as bona fide protestors. They will act as agent provocateurs and get virtually EVERYBODY arrested and herded off to FEMA camps. IT IS A TRAP--DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN! My take is that they will also have roadblocks for arresting gun owners (they already know who you are)--to avoid arrest at that point and lose your wife and children to different FEMA facilities, you must immediately agree and sign on the dotted line that you will cooperate. STEER CLEAR so you can fight later…

  5. Charles in VA says:

    Who am I to judge?

I’m a citizen of Virginia whose peace and security could be lost in the space of a day because of the ill conceived and imprudent actions of a bunch of hot headed idiots.

Consider the man in Appomattox, a farmer who wanted nothing to do with the Civil War. He lived far to the south of Manassas. Why should HE worry, right? Then the war blew across his property destroying his herds and crops and damaging his home. “Well, I’m glad that’s over!” he thought. Four long years later, Generals Lee and Grant were sitting in his living room signing surrender papers in his bullet riddled house.

WHO AM I TO JUDGE?!? You’ve got to be fucking kidding me right? Are you seriously going to tell me it’s none of my business? That I don’t have several dogs in this fight?

“We all have to decide our individual fate. ”

Did that guy in Appomattox get to decide HIS fate? No. That choice was taken from him without his advice or consent.

“So maybe Virginians have said, well seems no one is willing to get this party started, maybe we’ll give it a shot.”

You say that like you think is either wise or prudent. I do not, and I’m not ashamed to say so. This says “hey! Let’s start a war! Because we can!” with no regard for the ramifications and consequences that will be inflicted upon EVERYONE. How is that any different than what Dr. Coon Face is doing?

Can I stop it? No. I think VA and Federal LEO’s will take care of that on their own.

The bottom line here is We, The People, have the moral high ground at the moment…but a couple thousand hot heads are about to give up that high ground on behalf of millions who don’t want that to happen. Will it be their fault? It won’t make any difference. And that’s the damnable shame of the matter.

    • Jay says:

If your freedom can be lost in a day, then it is already lost.

      • Charles in VA says:

That, sir, is pure nonsense with no rational foundation in reality.

Example: The people of the Wiemar Republic were free. Then in one night Hitler burned down the Reichstag. The next day he was installed as the tyrant of Germany.

the upcoming Buffalo Jump could be just such a pivotal event.

I find your glib dismissal very obtuse.

        • Jay says:

Have you ever seen how a hog trap works? By your own admission Charles, you are already in the trap and scared, just waiting for the gate to slam shut. The hogs are already in the trap even if the gate has not slammed shut. This has been planned for a long time by the globalists who want to subdue America and it’s Constitution. They are confident that they can win this conflict with the forces Obama brought in and various financial and technological tools they have, otherwise they wouldn’t have started the process. They know that what they are doing is illegal and unconstitutional. The trial has already been held and the constitution won the case at the Supreme Court. But only the people have the will to enforce it. Elected officials cannot because the globalists enemies of America have a stranglehold on them.

          • Charles in VA says:

Sir, I calmly say to you: if you are intelligent, and are NOT apprehensive about this situation, then you are certainly mad.

There is a wide gulf between fear and cowardice.

Neither should prohibit wise men from PROPER AND PRUDENT action.

I put it to you, sir, that “they” are not confident. They are DESPERATE. This is their ONLY remaining avenue to victory…and your train of thought would open the gates for their way forward!

Some would call that treason. Treachery. Sedition. Dare I say “buddy f**kers”?

For my part, that is how I view it.

And in the end, it will not matter that you were misled… poorly informed…unwilling dupes. The result will be the same.

Unfortunately, so will the consequences of your actions…by either side…once the initial dust settles.

            Food for thought.

After all, you are only 130,000. Compared to 4 million Virginians supporting peaceful resolution, you are of little consequence. But the bill always comes due, no matter who you are. It’s the way of the world.

        • Jay says:

I apologize for making a statement like that which awakens you so rudely from the illusion of freedom that you were slumbering in. Return to your sleep and thank you for your comments.

          • Charles in VA says:

My friend, Freedom is a state of mind. You may doubt my belief, but you challenge it at your own peril, as does anyone else so foolish as to do so.

I’ve never been asleep, and you sure won’t catch me nappin’ these days.

You presume FAR too much, sir.

    • Tom says:

Unfortunately in our situation the moral high ground is NOT the same as the actual high ground. Actual high ground is much more valuable real estate in this neighborhood.

      • Charles in VA says:

And it’s already occupied by Statist goons with sniper rifles. So by walking into the kill box you’re giving up BOTH the moral AND the physical high ground.

        • Tom says:

Nah sometimes ya gotta show up. Period. God Bless VA patriots! A grateful nation is watching. Ever been in a field of large herd animals on the ground? Provides perspective. Sometimes the buffalo tramples the Indians. Governor Northam and his baby killer gun grabbers are in the middle of a big field of buffalos right now, they just don’t know it. They need to herd them all into the funnel. Spooking the herd is a dangerous thing even when your cliff is allegedly all lined up.

          • Jay says:

Governor Northam might actually be doing America a favor here by waking up the herd to the threat that he and other enemies of America pose.
On the other hand, if Americans had been minding the herd and upholding truth and justice instead of rooting for their favorite ball team, committing adultery and homosexuality, taking their daughters to the abortion clinic and dancing with the stars, maybe God would have spared the upcoming bloodshed.

    • PB in Virginia says:

It is the thoroughly corrupt state democrats who are the criminals. They manipulate and subvert the Law that governs government. They murder, lie, cheat, and steal. They have declared that they will kill our babies and take our guns, our property, pervert natural law, throw us in prison or FEMA camps to silence or re educate us. They have incited the likely violence in the very near future with their anti-God and unconstitutional rhetoric and actions. it is past time that we stood up.

They have clearly demonstrated evil intent that cannot be ignored or tolerated any longer. We who choose to participate in standing up against our corrupt government all know this is a trap in Richmond. Whatever clever mechanism the left uses won’t matter because We the People OWN the legal and moral legitimacy. Whatever happens in Richmond won’t change that.

    • riverrider says:

may your chains rest lightly upon your shoulders.

  6. Charles in VA says:

“Just something to think about instead of lashing out at everyone and calling them stupid.”

Have you ever heard the expression, “SILENCE IMPLIES CONSENT”?

I don’t know what else to call someone who advocates doing “anything” rather than doing “the right thing”. Would you prefer the term “fool”?

Are you honestly going to deny that the U.S. Constitution provides lawful and peaceful remedy to a crisis of this sort?

Are we at the point in history where even “patriots” say “to hell with the Constitution”?

Why do you not spend more time writing about those Constitutional remedies instead of cheerleading for the Communists by encouraging fruitless endeavors that put your own side at needless risk? Because that’s what this article says to me.

When this goes south, there is no one to blame but the VCDL and its leadership.

    • Citizen says:

Charles, are you on the payroll of Governor Northan or Senator Saslaw?

      • Charles in VA says:

I see you have no valid rebuttal. Good to know.

Always good to hear from the Constitution hating faction. How much is Northam paying YOU to be here? Of the two of us, you’re clearly the one in his corner.

I want to pull his teeth and beat him in court…an easy victory.

You’re the one who wants violence. You can’t wait for it to happen.

      • gi joe says:

I agree with citizen. It’s time for Charles to sit down and shut up. Your loud mouth is not allowing others to make rational and decent comments. You’ve stated your opinion too many times already.
I’m from VA. as well. and I disagree with your do nothing attitude. Look where that has gotten not just Virginia, but the entire country. So you go ahead and do nothing except run your loud mouth, while the rest of us take care of the business that you sir, are too scared to do.

      • Sunny says:

Every time I come here in the last week, Charles has been posting post after post trying to prod people into giving up. Implying that there is no hope for patriots except in the corrupt courts.
I saw his first post here today and thought Fed plant.

  7. Citizen says:

I will be at the capitol in Richmond on 2A Lobby Day, Monday, January 20. I’m going with family and neighbors. we are not “hotheads”. We will exercise our rights to speak, assemble, petition. We won’t be dissuaded by our anti-2A governor — nor by fearmongers. I think violent conflict is inevitable, that it will be thrust upon us by would-be tyrants of the left, perhaps sooner, perhaps later. Until then we engage in peaceful constitutional action to defend or rights.

    • Charles in VA says:

So you’re going to cut out the middle man and just stick your head in the wood chipper with no regard for what that will mean for the millions of citizens you DON’T represent.

What a wonderful human being you are.

Enjoy your complimentary wood shampoo and and free lodging accommodations. You’ll have earned them.

  8. Dan Chapman says:

The Bolsheviks won’t BUY your guns, just OUTLAW them.
The Bolsheviks want you to be easy prey.
Every American should be studying the HOLODOMOR and STALIN’S terror.
Learn what the Bolsheviks did to Christian Ukrainians and Russians.
Because you may soon be RELIVING it.
“All you freedom-loving “left wing” thinkers in the West! You left-laborites! You progressive American, German, and French students! As far as you are concerned, this whole book of mine is a waste of effort. You may suddenly understand it all someday – but only when you yourselves hear ‘hands behind your backs there!’ and step ashore on our Archipelago.”Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

After the Bolsheviks imposed “COMMON SENSE” gun laws:
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more -- we had no awareness of the real situation… We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” — Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago
Having fomented conditions of severe social and political instability the Jewish Bolsheviks eventually seized control of the whole Russian Empire after a dreadful civil war. Thereafter they instituted a regime that killed directly or indirectly tens of millions of Christian Russians. Churches were burned down or converted to warehouses while ‘anti-semitic’ acts incurred the death penalty.

    • Billybob62 says:

Satan has no new tricks. It’s the old playbook that’s being used against us, once free Americans. They must disarm the populace before they can march us to the gulag. Wake up you slumbering fools who think that we can negotiate with evil. America was formed by men who knew better than to thing that you negotiate with Satan. Democrats are socialists are communists are baby killers are slave masters. History repeats for those who ignore the past.
Oh, by the way, Hussein is as active now as he was in his usurper role before Trump.
The Commune Organizer is not done yet. It’s all he knows.

  9. Charles in VA says:

And if you don’t think this is serious, take a look at the articles stating that Kansas and Nebraska State legislators are being whisked off by the National Guard to military bases to be briefed by DHS on “continuity of Government” procedures.

They would ONLY be in that loop IF D.C. and Colorado were in peril.

What does THAT tell you about where the FEDERAL Government’s head is at with regard to what’s coming?

I wasn’t at Ft. Sumter, but history tells us the Confederates fired first. That’s what they’re going to claim on the 20th if it goes tits up…and they’ve stacked the deck in their favor.

This isn’t going to stay in VA if it goes down. It will be YOUR houses on fire too. You can take that to the bank.

  10. Charley Waite says:

I freely admit I am not a citizen of Virginia and I live in, what is now, a gun-friendly state. But I also recognize it can happen here just as easily. I was one who believed this was a setup and a “buffalo jump” as Matt Bracken called it. And I still believe it is. But I also have seen the videos of legislators colluding to limit debate and even the incredible video of a town council threatening to call the cops if the Pledge was said.
This country is under attack. Maybe its better to just rip the bandaid off and let it bleed. Maybe Joe Normie will finally wake up and Carlos Commie will finally show himself for what he is. After the Project Veritas video with the Bernie guy talking gulags are good and reeducate MAGA types, maybe its time to let fly.
God protect those in Richmond on Monday

    • Wes Rhinier says:

“This country is under attack. Maybe its better to just rip the bandaid off and let it bleed.”
      Exactly. Thanks for your commentary.

    • Charles in VA says:

Why not give the Constitution a try first? It’s not like bloodshed is off the table. It never was Are we so eager for it that we’re willing to ignore the Constitution and make ourselves as lawless as the tyrants? Because that’s THEIR game.

We’re supposed to be better than that. VCDL CLAIMS to be better than that…and yet it’s proponents all seem to be blood thirsty pirates spoiling for a war.

War is war, and war is Hell…no matter who “starts” it.

“It is well that war is so terrible, lest we grow fond of it” -- General Robert E. Lee to Stonewall Jackson

It all sounds real romantic and patriotic…until it’s your guts you’re looking at in the dirt. Then it’s just “Oh God!” and “Momma!”

And FYI…this will NOT be confined to Virginia if it kicks off.

      • Jay says:

If public officials refuse to uphold justice, truth and the constitution, then what other choice is there? If the courts and the Congress were upholding due process, there would be no need for any of this. What makes you think that these communists are going to start upholding their oath of office? I think the public gathering with the threat of further action is the reasonable approach to avoid armed conflict until it is clear that there is no other way. But I think it is very important to find out which side of this issue President Trump is going to take.

        • Charley Waite says:

“If public officials refuse to uphold justice, truth and the constitution, then what other choice is there? If the courts and the Congress were upholding due process, there would be no need for any of this. What makes you think that these communists are going to start upholding their oath of office?”
EXACTLY. The Rule of Law has been dead in this nation for awhile. The only thing the courts are good for is tyrannizing political opponents.

      • Wes Rhinier says:

Do you really think the Constitution hasn’t been tried? You think the courts haven’t been tried? I wish I could find my previous article I had written about the year 1913 but this will suffice for now. Take a moment to read this Charles.
And Yes everyone knows this will not be confined to Virginia.

        • TS says:

Indeed…the law and the courts have not in any recent memory been effective- except for the leftists/seditionists/traitors, who by the way don’t honor the Constitution to begin with- and still walk around unscathed. I want non-violent confrontation and legal results too- but who is making the laws, who is judging them and what is the ideology of those very same? We appear to have 2 judicial systems in this nation now…and we commoners are in the low and under-privileged one. No confidence.

        • Charles in VA says:

Yes, Wes. That’s exactly what I’m saying. You’d have to be pretty naive to believe that any issue that goes to the core of our Bill of Rights will be argued once and settled forever.

Life and politics do not work that way.

To force the governments hand on the streets without first going through due process…yes the Government is also apportioned the Right to Due Process…is reckless and irresponsible. More irresponsible even than the odious laws being proposed.

Any blood spilled will ultimately be on the hands of the VCDL and their organizers for not calling off this fiasco while they had the opportunity. It takes two to fight. All they have to do is not show up and it all falls apart for the State. And they lose nothing by doing so.

Yes. I think (as one veteran to another) you are a little too eager for the blood letting to begin. And I don’t buy the “peaceful assembly to address grievances” argument. Everyone going is expecting trouble, and we both know it doesn’t matter who starts it, don’t we?

Your side is the one getting the blame, and this moment in time is most likely to determine that.

The means NEVER justifies the ends, no matter how pure you claim your cause to be. Remember that before you set our country on fire…especially when the world sees you holding the lighter. This could go pear shaped on you in ways you’re not seeing yet.

Now I’ll go read your link.

          • Matt says:

“Any blood spilled will ultimately be on the hands of the VCDL and their organizers for not calling off this fiasco while they had the opportunity.”

Bullshit. The blood will be on the hands of the thugs and bullies that start the violence, which will not be the VCDL people.

          • Charles in VA says:

They started it by showing up armed in mass after making threats against Gov’t officials on line.

You’re not going to lobby. There’s no one there TO lobby. It’s a Federal holiday. The government is on vacation. So much for THAT LIE! Bullshit, I believe you said? Indeed.

So tell me again why you’re marching on the State capital under arms?

It’s called “insurrection” and is justification to call up the National Guard. Not to mention all the other goon squad agencies.

But I’m sure the media will paint you guys in a heroic light!

Enjoy the turkey shoot, turkey. If you’re lucky enough to survive, that can be your argument at your trial…which will go as well as the media coverage did.

          • Jay says:

But Charles, what more due process could there be. Even the Supreme Court in the District of Criminals has upheld the right to gun ownership. It’s a done deal. This governor is in open violation of both the constitution and the Supreme Court ruling on guns. Any further legal proceedings are just begging the question.
This governor is just an overt criminal and enemy that the police are scared to execute justice upon.

          • Charles in VA says:

Jay, I was almost not going to reply to anyone on this site again, but I’ll make an exception for you, because you asked a rational question.

The answer should be obvious to anyone not blinded by rage.

            Yes. The law is clear.

Yes. The VA gov. is proposing unlawful Acts that they intend to follow through on.

What do we do with criminals?

We take them to court, prosecute them and impose sentencing that includes restitution to the damaged parties.

Even the guilty are guaranteed a trial in America.

Now that I’ve discovered the Raconteur Report, I’ll not be darkening your doorstep further.

Have fun at the goat fuck!

      • BJ says:

“Why not give the Constitution a try first?”
Charles in Va, very respectfully I write this. Do you not realize that so called “Democrats” and “Republican RINOS” have been shredding our Constitution God’s VERY LONG Time now!!
And sadly, Peaceful Citizens of the United States have sat back and allowed it to be shredded. What’s happening there in Virginia is just a magnified version of what numerous other state legislatures have been, AND ARE Doing!!
The U.N. issued a letter to former “president” oslimy, wanting to know WHAT he was going to do to disarm the American people!! Communist China has been demanding for several years that Americans be disarmed!
You APPEAR to be advocating for Americans TO CONTINUE to sit on their butts while allowing themselves to be disarmed. And THEN Hope to change that in our courts of law!! Seriously?!?
The Communists have been working to take over our nation SINCE Moscow financed the establishment of the Communist Party USA in the early 1920s. Soviet Union Premier Nakita Kruchev HOTLY STATED “We will bury you from within!!” at the beginning of the 1960s. I was a child at that time, and his words terrified me.
I have watched far too many Americans sit back on their butts all these decades while our country slides down the drain and our Constitutional Rights are continually orroded!
If Americans are NOT Willing to stand up NOW, And Exercise their CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO Freely, Openly, and Lawfully GATHER TOGETHER, Speak, and Protest against UNCONSTITUTIONAL Legislation that Tyrants want to make as law,
Well then, we all night as well lay down on the ground NOW, and allow the Communists to manipulate all of us now.
Your Pacifist Attitude is what has helped get our nation to the sickening point that it is today.

  11. Jay says:

I would like to know what President Trump has to say about all of this going on in Virginia.
But he is being quiet for som reason.

  12. TS says:

As sure as God is sovereign, what will happen will happen and He is not unaware. All means justify His ends in the grand scheme- His ways are not our ways as we are flawed, but our ways will align with the end result in this late hour for pax Americana. Who knew 25 or so years ago we would be so overrun internally to the point of implosion? I resolve myself daily to be grateful for the very air He allows me to breathe, and hope I am ready for how He moves me. Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him- but I won’t argue!

  13. Texaswatcher says:

Charles-you keep insisting that Constitutional remedies be tried first. Do you not consider the act of peaceful assembly a Constitutional remedy?

    • Charles in VA says:

Quite frankly, my idea of peaceful assembly does not include firearms. Not that I’m against responsible carry, ..and I’ve open carried a LOT. But showing up armed and pissed off doesn’t scream “peaceful” to me. And that is how it’s going to be framed by the media, and by baby killer Coon Man.

And you beg the question…what “remedy” do you think this goat f#@! will result in?

You’ve got to be dumber than a rock to think this ends with you winning political points.

This isn’t rocket surgery. If you don’t get it by now, you never will.

Exercising your Rights is like fat women wearing Spandex…just because you CAN doesn’t mean you SHOULD. And for the same reason…the optics are hideous!

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!

      It’s just that simple.

Let’s quit with the personal insults. That accomplishes nothing.

        • Charles in VA says:

Every comment to me on this board has been insulting to me…including half of yours. You’ve lost your objectivity.

What’s really funny is you’d be happy to see me defend myself in Richmond, but you don’t want me doing it here.

I see how it is now.

          • Wes Rhinier says:

Feel free to defend your point of view. Do it without personally insulting everyone you are interacting with. Resorting to name calling and insults doesn’t help you.

          • Charles in VA says:

I’ve got a better idea. I’ll just go over to Raconteur where there are people who actually have brains and common sense…and where I won’t be attacked every time I voice my opinion.

You and these others here have gravely disappointed me, but such is life.

Bear this in mind. You might have 130,000 show up from all over the country, but there are MILLIONS of Virginians with better sense than to join you in the buffalo jump.

Even on the pro 2A side, YOU are in the minority by orders of magnitude…and I thank God for that!

          • Wes Rhinier says:

All Aesop is doing over at his blog is calling everyone, every name under the sun he can think of if you disagree with him. That’s not exactly a good move on his part. You may want to go back and read many of his previous post. He is appearing very hypocritical since Virginia has the potential to kick off the party he himself has written about for so long. There are better ways to defend your point of view than just calling everyone a ****tard or stupid.

          • Charles in VA says:

Fortunately for me, I happen to agree with him…so…not an issue for me.

I jump in where I jump in. Your history, his history…none of it means squat to me.

On this issue he is right and you are wrong…in MY opinion.

I don’t know either of you well enough to take a side in past squabbles. But you didn’t do yourself any favors with me by coming down on the wrong side of this particular fence.

I’m persuaded by logic and reason. He has both in spades from almost everything of his I’ve read.

And everyone on this board has either called me a coward, a Gov’t plant, or insinuated the same.

Is that YOUR idea of building good will? Because it’s the fastest way I know of to piss me off. You got no room to complain about Aesop in that regard based on what I’ve seen here.

Peaceful assembly is absolutely part of the Constitutional remedy. Peaceful also doesn’t mean unarmed.

Ultimately, the power lies with the People and not the govt. but the People need to be willing to take the reins of that power. They can only be controlled to the degree that they allow themselves to be controlled.

The courts are also part of the constitutional remedy, though they are a check and balance on the government and as such are part of government. What the courts are NOT is the arbiter of when the government is right in it’s desire to rule over the People. Again, that power lies with the People.

Similarly, the government has a duty to protect the victims should this event go sideways. Unfortunately, we have seen from experience that they are most likely going to do the opposite, which makes them part of the problem. This in turn justifies the use of force by the People in stopping and eliminating illegitimate government.

Thanks for the work you do, I have read your blog for a lot of years. Unfortunately there is not enough patriots like you in Carolina at least that I’m aware. I wish you the best and encourage you to keep up the important work you do. Now to the situation in Va, if we don’t bite the bullet and draw a line in the sand now there may not be another chance. Virginia is the beta test and if Virginians lose their 2A rights don’t you realize that NC is next. It is move and counter move until one or the other says enough! I will not go quietly into the night. IF NOT NOW, WHEN, IF NOT US, WHO?. If we are paralyzed by our fear we have already lost. All of the potential problems may indeed occur, plan accordingly. It is good to have a level of fear of what might happen use that fear to expect and prepare of the worst. However, too much fear is like a sickness which spreads until everyone is sick. There will always be the hand wringers and naysayers, read our history. The governor of Va must see that the people have declared a state of emergency to take what is rightfully theirs.

Until the guys and gals that will enforce VA’s unconstitutional mandates feel the fear and uncertainty of that decision they will continue to do what they are told, up to and including shooting innocent people. Solzhenitsyn, who wrote the Gulag Archipelago and spent decades in a communist prison said and I’m certainly paraphrasing and taking liberties with his writing, ‘what would have happened if when they came for us we met them in the streets and in the door ways with pitch forks, axes and shovels and fought back? What would have happened if the police, soldiers and informers would have realized that they may be dead in the next few minutes, that they may never see their families again. This is what we are talking about. It is time to put up or shut up. We are either sheep or sheep dogs, we will be led to the slaughter or defend ourselves from slaughter. Each day the choices are getting fewer.

I love Matt and he could be right. However, the only trap I think is to go unarmed which will definitely get you slaughtered like sheep. And to not protest is a victory for tyranny. You either have a God given right to keep and bear arms or you don’t. Contrary to popular belief there is no middle ground with tyrants.

We have been talking for decades and it has done NO good, the time for talk is over. Either give in and lay down or get off your scared ass and fight. Foolish men like one of the replies will get you killed or enslaved. He doesn’t even know who is starting the ‘war’, like most commies he believes that it is always the oppressed that starts the wars and government that creates life and freedom; the government gives and the government takes away. blessed be government. The line ‘Can I stop it? No. I think VA and Federal LEO’s will take care of that on their own’ should tell you all you need to know about him. Avoid his type like the plague. It is most difficult for people who don’t believe in anything to sacrifice their life for someone else much less an idea like FREEDOM. The founding fathers also had to deal with traitors, whiners, unbelievers and the British Army and Navy, even the guy in Appomattox bless his heart.

Make no mistake this whole situation is very bad and dangerous and all of the supposed problems could happen and blood could be spilled. If Americans and particularly Virginians are to keep their first and second amendments rights that will be the price at some point unless they just lay down and take what is offered, the chains that bind.

Please do not take this comment as pro-violence, violence should be the absolute last response. But history has proven that the commies love and use violence to oppress and kill tens of millions. I wish with all of my being that the tyrants would leave us alone and prosecute the criminals. You must understand that in the grand scheme of the “one world government crowd” they must destroy the United States, to live free is an idea they will not tolerate. I wish in my heart that my four children and twelve grandchildren would never see the day that the US government begins to oppress the people.

My desire in writing this note is to express what I see happening, the logical conclusion of this resistance to tyranny OR the logical conclusion of no resistance to tyranny which will eventually be worse.

I can smell the fear and if I can smell it you better know that Governor Blackface and his American commie buddies can smell it also.

If we don’t do it now they’ll just get harsher on you. Might as will nip them in the bud now. I learned this with a tree I let grow.

Now it’s so humongous I have to call in the professionals to get it done. So you can hang them now or you can let them hang YOU later.
