White House Locked Down Due to George Floyd Protesters

The U.S. Secret Service ordered the White House locked down Friday evening due to people outside the gates protesting the death of George Floyd, according to NBC News White House Correspondent Peter Alexander.

The protesters gathered at 14th and U streets in Northwest D.C., shutting down the area to traffic for a time before the group marched to the White House.

The White House is under lockdown orders from the U.S. Secret Service due to protests outside the gates over George Floyd.
A dozen reporters, myself included, still inside the West Wing.

    I did not know that posse comitatus had an exemption. Title 10. Vague terms, so they can do whatever they want.

    For me, it’s 1968 all over again. By the way, 52 years ago, the U.S. Army actually had soldiers guarding the Capitol Building & the White House!
