Who Should We Petition?

A portion of a recent comment for your consideration:

Now they are tearing down your public symbols.
So you [are] next when they’re done with this phase of the revolution.

Maybe you can pray this all away? Huh?!
Or perhaps you can start to wage your own counter revolution?

Our Revolution was based in prayer and we too often forget the following from the Declaration of Independence:

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.

There are several supernatural events in the Revolutionary War documented in the book “The Real George Washington” that led to our new country. I believe the Constitution of the United States was divinely inspired even though our clergy would disagree. As they also disagree on the current state of morality in this country.

Is there really a question of whether we should rely on God in this current war? I believe that if we do not place a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we will lose. I also believe we understand what will happen if we lose.

The time has come for us to rely on the Lord for guidance and action. Our forefathers prayed for guidance and were rewarded far beyond their expectations. We have taken too much for granted for too long. Our “government” has failed to adhere to the foundation of our heritage, religion and principles. As for action, if not us, who?

    David,
I agree. We must all take action now and unite. We must stand strong, and humble ourselves before GOD and Pray for strength with Firm Reliance and the Protection of Divine Providence.
If we do not, we will as you stated, “we will lose”. The Government, Politicians and Police are not going to be there to help us. It is up to us to Act Now.

Mockery for this will merely be validation. Soon it shall be -- every knee shall bow.
    Thank you.

Great article, of course we should petition God for help, on the other hand we should make sure we deserve help we are asking for! We are not just fighting for our freedom, but the right to include God in the affairs of men. We should be like the knights of old, shining examples to all. Without God to guide us, we are left with just greed, avarice, hubris along with all the other sins of men.

The lines are being drawn, you are either for God or against God. It is time to decide, if you haven’t already.
