Political Power in the United States … 2013 and Beyond …

Are we ‘powerless’ … will we be ‘powerless’ … ?

What do we see at the start of 2013?  New York and FedGov are working vigorously to remove guns from the hands of civilians.

Statists must command all the guns…  That way, no guns can ever be used to command the State.

The logic is irrefutable and echoed by senior members of our government.

Anita Dunn quotes Chairman Mao as one of her two favorite philosophers, and Ron Bloom (Manufacturing “Czar”) says “… We kind of agree with Mao that political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun…

And at the start of 2013, blog news is sprinkled with hushed chatter about the new ‘litmus test’ for military command … a willingness to shoot citizens / civilians.

The “State” is now preparing to defend itself against the people who created the State and hold the power to dissolve the State: 

…Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it…

 …when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security

So, unless we wish to share this fate:

We exercise our unalienable Right to keep arms, and we bear them every day.

We retain our political power.
