Take a moment, consider this.

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

Just an observation. I had to go to O’hare airport in Chicago, Wednesday and Thursday. I used to work there. The passenger volume for this time of year was only about at 30% of previous years. It was never so easy to drive to the departure gates and leave. Nobody there. Something bad is coming. It’s close enough to smell it.

Isa 7: 14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

We all need to read this wonderful story again . Especially now that we are being overtaken by the forces of evil controlling our once great nation . It is a good time to die if you have a cause coupled with faith . Will He let go of America ? I do not think so . Revival will come after the war . But for now , we must concentrate on the war . We did not choose war . They brought it to us . So let us die like men and take many with us when we go .

Absolutely, God does not favor cowards. God is not just a God of spiritual army’s but flesh and blood also.

Glenn Beck is one who brought to our attn. some differences with this verse. something i have become mindful of.
Several different versions interpretations of this:  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Douay-Rheims Bible
Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to men of good will.
The Besorah:
“Esteem to Alahim in the highest, and on erets (earth) peace among men with whom He is pleased!”

At one time -- maybe 20-25 years ago, I was doing comparisons of Bible verses. There was no internet, so I had over 21 Scripture books, shall I call them. Overall, even the Aramaic>English translations, etc., essentially said the same thing on any given subject. Just different words or sequencing of the words. One could, if they wanted to, choose any one of them and twist to suit, if you know what I mean. I finally just decided to ask my heart, the Holy Spirit for guidance on them. Oddly enough, I have found Truth in some of the most unusual places since that time. God made every thing -- how can truth not BE everywhere? Look in the mirror, see the Creator, look around you, see the Creator. Jesus said according to John 14:20, “In that day you will know that I am in my Father, you in me, and I in you.” Uh -- ONE. I have never heard anyone talk about this VERY profound statement -- hmmmmm, wonder why? Too much Truth, maybe? Truth carries responsibility -- maybe too much truth, too much responsibility when that passage is contemplated…?

Truth in unusual places. i agree, and understand.
“In that day you will know that I am in my Father, you in me, and I in you.” Uh — ONE. I have never heard anyone talk about this VERY profound statement — hmmmmm, wonder why? Too much Truth, maybe? i have asked myself and others the same question, on this verse and many others like it. i believe they could talk about these verses but people for the most part would not get it. i believe this is up to us as individuals and our Messiah, this is a private journey we must seek for ourselves. The church as it is in a physical sense can Baptize by water but the rest is up to us as individuals.
Being Baptized by Him and the Holy Spirit is a personal and more private undertaking,
‘True’ repentance is something hard to describe and or share and explain. i pray that many will experience this Yah willing of course.

How did the christmas celebration begin on these dates?
Why did the first settlers to the “new world” not celebrate Christmas? What were they fleeing?
When, how did the christmas tree come about? And here in america?
Why for approx. 300 years after His birth (Mashiak )did they not celebrate christmas?

Santa Claus comes from the Dutch words Sinter Klaas which is what they call their favorite Saint Nicholas. He is said to have died on December 6, A.D. 342.

Great questions. I don’t have the answers, but great things to ponder, research. Still, trivia. The answers are curiousities. Still wouldn’t affect the higher purposes of our Creation…and that is primary.

i believe the answers reveal what the world is become, and show why we are to become set-apart from it. The books and passages from John greatly show this.
i look forward that more people will see and understand this now and in the future,
And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from Shabath to Shabath, all flesh shall come to worship before me,” declares Yaweh.
Now that about covers it does it not? ‘Everyday’ He is in our frontlets in our hands, in our hearts.
Not ‘special’ days, not by traditions, He is within us and we act and think accordingly daily as our daily bread. myself God willing included.

It’s amazing how we miss the obvious. Notice that no Magi are mentioned in this passage from Luke. In Mathew, no shepherds are mentioned. The shepherds saw a babe in a manger. The Magi in Mathew saw a young child in a house. These are two different events. The gospels don’t contradict each other, they compliment each other.
The Magi arrived about 1 year after the the birth of Jesus. If the Magi were there at the birth, why would Herod have the male children murdered 2 years old and under? From the info he received from the Magi at their arrival, he realized the child had been born at least a year before. The traditional Nativity scenes is a simple example of tradition versus truth.

People are easily led astray, it is the teaching of man that is evil they love the darkness rather than the light. Seek the Lord first in all that you do.
