Do you wonder why our Nation is failing? Do you chafe at the thought that, when you pass, there will be no one to take your place in society, to maintain it and ensure that it continues? When you contemplate the ‘public character’ of our nation today, does it cause you distress, and give rise to spurious thoughts such as “I wish I had lived a century ago, when life was simpler, but better”?
Do you look at the majority of people under 30 and think, “my G_d, we were never *that* stupid!”
The problems are ones of discipline and education, plain and simple.
Do you wonder why Sen. Bernie Sanders and his ideas are so popular among American college students? The answer is that they, like so many other young people who think they know it all, are really uninformed and ignorant. You say, “Williams, how dare you say that?! We’ve mortgaged our home to send our children to college.” Let’s start with the 2006 geographic literacy survey of youngsters between 18 and 24 years of age by National Geographic and Roper Public Affairs –
Less than half could identify New York and Ohio on a U.S. map. Sixty percent could not find Iraq or Saudi Arabia on a map of the Middle East, and three-quarters could not find Iran or Israel. In fact, 44 percent could not locate even one of those four countries. Youngsters who had taken a geography class didn’t fare much better. By the way, when I attended elementary school, during the 1940s, we were given blank U.S. maps, and our assignment was to write in the states. Today such an assignment might be deemed oppressive, if not racist.
According to a Philadelphia magazine article, the percentage of college grads who can read and interpret a food label has fallen from 40 to 30 percent. They are six times likelier to know who won “American Idol” than they are to know the name of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives. A high-school teacher in California handed out an assignment that required students to use a ruler. Not a single student knew how.
An article on News Forum for Lawyers titled “Study Finds College Students Remarkably Incompetent” cites a study done by the American Institutes for Research which revealed that over 75 percent of two-year college students and 50 percent of four-year college students were incapable of completing basic, everyday tasks. About 20 percent of four-year college students demonstrated only basic mathematical ability, while a steeper 30 percent of two-year college students could not progress past elementary arithmetic. NBC News recently reported that Fortune 500 companies spend about $3 billion annually to train “college-educated” employees in “basic English.”
Reported by Just Facts, in 2009, the Pentagon estimated that 65 percent of 17- to 24-year-olds in the U.S. were unqualified for military service because of weak educational skills, poor physical fitness, illegal drug usage, medical conditions or criminal records. In January 2014, the commander of the U.S. Army Recruiting Command estimated this figure at 77.5 percent, and in June 2014, the Department of Defense estimated this figure at 71 percent (http://tinyurl.com/guz7pqy).
A few weeks ago, my this column discussed the dishonesty of college officials (http://tinyurl.com/zgmhzkc). Here’s more evidence: Among high-school students who graduated in 2014 and took the ACT college readiness exam, here’s how various racial/ethnic groups fared when it came to meeting the ACT’s college readiness benchmarks in at least three of the four subjects: Asians, 57 percent; whites, 49 percent; Hispanics, 23 percent; and blacks, 11 percent. However, the college rates of enrollment of these groups were: Asians, 80 percent; whites, 69 percent; Hispanics, 60 percent; and blacks, 57 percent.
What I am labeling as dishonest, fraudulent or deceitful comes from the fact that many more students are admitted to college than are in fact college-ready. Admitting such students may satisfy the wants and financial interests of the higher education establishment, but whether it serves the interests of students, families, taxpayers and the nation is another question.

The globalists have destroyed our educational system, to the point that – as a society – we no longer possess the requite skills to sustain ourselves as a Nation and a people. They have contrived “laws”, such that disciplining children is now an ineffective farce, under most circumstances, and created a public attitude which scorns the very concept of self-discipline, all together.
This is no accident; they wanted to create a society of people which is predominantly ignorant; undisciplined; disinterested; and therefore unmotivated. One in which people are generally incapable of assessing their state in society, or the state of society as a whole; and thus profoundly unlikely to do anything effective towards changing the direction of society’s impulses, or even their own impulses, for that matter. Bye and large, they have succeeded.
And they have done it for the most prurient of reasons – profits, and the unconstrained centralization of power among an insignificant minority of oligarchic personalities – an amoral elite which is free to rule and otherwise conduct itself outside the bounds of moral or civic constraints.
We crossed the Rubicon a generation ago, but only now has the destruction been wrought to such a degree that it is plainly visible, even to the ignorant and misdirected masses. And yet, their state is such that the vast majority of American citizens cannot assess what it is that our society is lacking, and therefore they are bound to fall for vague promises of ‘Hope and Change’ and will continue to grasp at such straws, for as long as they are offered by the elite.
Sadly, there is only one way for our society to recover from this now-terminal condition – to suffer a major calamity of one variety or another, which impacts society so violently as to cause a mass die-off; rendering upon the minds of all who survive the conclusion that ‘everything of the old society is a failure and must be abandoned.’
But again, this serves the interests and intentions of the elite, for in the ashes of a destroyed society there will be no effective barriers to the consolidation of power into their elitist hands; a “final solution” toward which they are indeed working feverishly.
WE HAVE BEEN WARNED
This is a great article. The education system in the United States have virtually destroyed the children. The level of ignorance of political and financial systems is unbelievable. I was having a talk with a young person a couple of weeks ago about the dangers of Marxism. The youngster said the socialist system was a fair and just system. I gave the individual a few reading assignment and asked him to get back with me when he completed the reading. I recommended the Ukrainian famine and the current Venezuela debacle. I heard from him a couple of days later and his attitude had completely changed. The children are not taught the differences in the political systems and the history of the said systems.

It was an eye opening experience for the young man.. --
“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.”
-Patrick Henry
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
-John Adams
Let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.
-George Washington
“If we run into such debts as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds, as the people of England are, our people, like them, must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, and give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses.
And the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they do now, on oatmeal and potatoes, have no time to think, no means of calling the mis-managers to account; but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains around the necks of our fellow sufferers.
And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for a second, that second for a third, and so on ’til the bulk of the society is reduced to be mere automations of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering.
And the forehorse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression.”
Yes, we did produce a near-perfect republic. But will they keep it? Or will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the memory of freedom?
Material abundance without character is the path of destruction.”
Thomas Jefferson
The message is abundantly clear to those who are willing to see and hear, yet our own government rules against the obvious. Without God there can be no liberty.
