Obama: I Am Still Winning

Organizing for Action

Friend —

Last night, Congress reached a bipartisan agreement that will fund the government through September, avoiding another government shutdown.

Over the past few weeks, it seemed as if a shutdown was on the horizon, as this administration — desperately searching for a victory in its first 100 days — demanded that Congress pass a bill funding the government that would also include funding for a costly, unnecessary border wall.

But that’s not happening, thanks to the work of people like you.

OFA volunteers contacted our representatives and made our voices heard. We pushed back against a divisive immigration agenda, and pressured members of Congress to deny funding for the misguided wall. We spoke up — and the administration backed down.

The result? Our government remains open, and we have another great example of what happens when engaged citizens like you come together and pressure Congress to do the right thing. But there are more fights ahead — more policies this administration has already put on the table against the will of the people.

Your support is what keeps us moving forward towards the victories to come. Help make sure this work keeps going strong.

Moments like these remind us of the impact organizing can have when we invest in this movement — over the last 100 days, we’ve seen that impact again and again. Now’s no time to slow down. Help keep this movement strong by investing in it now.
