I know you agree with me that this type of irresponsible budgeting and reckless behavior can no longer be tolerated in our nation’s government.
Renee Ellmers
Renee looks good in this video but North Carolina must do better. Let’s review Mrs. Ellmers’ Congressional record.
Renee will not support the North Carolina Marriage amendment:
Dome: Amendment is too broad to get Ellmers’ vote
U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers says that she opposes same-sex marriages but that she intends to vote against a proposed constitutional amendment banning them that will be on the North Carolina ballot in May because it would also ban civil unions.
Ellmers, a conservative Republican, was asked her opinion on the Defense of Marriage amendment during an appearance last week at Campbell University, and her answer might have surprised some listeners.
Dome heard about Ellmers’ remarks and asked her office for clarification. Her spokesman, Tom Doheny, confirmed that she planned to vote against the constitutional ban that was adopted by the legislature in September because it is too broadly drawn.
North Carolina does not need another Republican shill in the House of Representatives. We need someone who will actually vote to stop raising the debt ceiling and work for their constituents instead of John Boehner.
Mrs. Ellmers did not hold any townhalls during the 2011 Summer recess and cancelled her talk with the Moccasin Creek Minutemen at the last minute.

I am a constituent of Renee Ellmers and I am disappointed. We sent her to do the will of the people as follows:
1. STOP and reduce the spending.
2. Shrink the size of government. Her vote and explanation (or lack thereof) says all you need to know. She ran as a Tea Party candidate but she really is a “Tory”.There is no way to explain away adding 7 – 15 trillion in more debt on our backs. We all need to take drastic measures now. Greece here we come. Only a revolution will make a solution. I guess we are resolved to this.Renee, better make sure your RN credits are up to date as I for one will make sure you are a one term candidate.Oh and the Rush Crew…next time you see Renee…hand her a box of tissues…so she can wipe “The Boehner” from her chin…..That is all.More comments from WRDU
Mrs. Ellmers’ response to discuss Sharia law with Frank Livingston (ACT for America representative at that time):
Frank Livingston, “The North Carolina RINO Hunter” says:
If you want to see the stupidity we have elected to Congress, please review the letter I received from “RINO” Renee Ellmers (R-NC) when I requested a meeting with her to discuss Shariah law here in North Carolina and around the nation. Here is what I received from her office:
Mr Frank Livingston

Dear Mr Livingston:
I can assure you I would do everything in my power to prevent Sharia law from being imposed on American’s in the United States, particularly our women, it that even became a remote possibility. In fact, I know very few American women who would submit or tolerate suggestions that they submit to Sharia law.
But in the larger sense, Sharia law would be unconstitutional in the United States in any case. As you are award Shiria law is based on Islamic fundamental religious belief and the First Amendment to our U.S. Constitution mandates that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion. Over the years, case law has settled that Congress may not subject Americans to any law that imposes a religious belief or practice on them, and that includes Sharia law.
So please don’t worry any longer about Sharia law being imposed on us. I do thank you for sharing your concerns with me and for paying attention to the dangers that face us. If I may be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. For additional information, please visit my website http://ellmers.house.gov. From this site you can access statements about current events or pending legislation, and receive detailed information about the many services that I am privileged to provide for North Carolinians.
I hope this has settled your misgivings and made you feel more secure.
Sincerely,
Renee Ellmers
Member of Congress
Are you tired of signing petitions, reading instead of acting and settling for the lesser of two evils? Our forefathers would not settle for the “lesser good” at an election. Why should we?

please don’t worry
Right. Seems like we’ve heard that before.
Though I am disappointed with some of her performance, as are some of you, in all fairness, her support of the marriage constitutional amendment in NC is immaterial. She is a representative to the national congress, not a state representative. For the record, I am wholeheartedly in favor of the amendment.
I agree that the marriage amendment is a state issue and she was speaking as a state citizen instead of a Representative. I disagree that it is immaterial in that it shows me something of her character. We need statesmen who will stand up and set an example instead of politicians swaying in the breeze. Her time has come and gone and realistically should never have come in the first place.
What does marriage have to do with spending and the size of the gov?
What does morality have to do with a Republic?
