While that is all true an indicates we are in late stage collapse due to rampant implementation of cultural Marxism throughout society, the root of the problem is the widespread belief in this country that business administrators are endowed by the Creator with some kind of mystical powers to manage all people doing all things simply because they have a BA or an MBA. This belief indeed is so strong, (and logically absurd) as to rise to the level of a religious cult.
The pathfinder who opened the doors for the modern inept business manager into areas of influence outside of one’s skillset was SecDef Robert C. McNamara of the Vietnam era. Here was a Harvard boy and a WW2 USAAF “efficiency evaluator”, who perfected his weasel business management style at FORD Motor Company and came to the Pentagon as a “Wizz Kid” who tried to micromanage troop deployments of General Lew Walt’s Marines in I Corps RVN. The Wizz Kid war strategies of someone who thinks running an automotive company is just like counter insurgency were given their due course over the objections of General Walt and others who built their judgement in time served as combat officers. The results speak for themselves, but somehow America and the rest of the Western business world have been seduced by and continue to embrace the absurd idea that business management wizz kids are the solution to just about any problem known to man. When the religion of this cult is combined with caustic Marxist policies of DEI as we see now, the lives of millions of everyday people are suddenly in great jeopardy.
