U.S. consumers are getting weaker and weaker and weaker. Today, debt levels have risen to unprecedented heights, but thanks to roaring inflation our standard of living has been steadily going down. Most Americans are working extremely hard, but they have very little to show for it. And now the latest economic downturn is really starting to bite. Layoffs are starting to surge again, once thriving businesses are shutting down all over the nation, and hunger and homelessness are exploding. If economic conditions continue to deteriorate at this pace, what will things look like a year from now?
For decades, we have been able to count on U.S. consumers to just keep spending money no matter what the economic outlook was, but now things have changed.
The following are 11 signs that U.S. consumers are in very serious trouble as we head into the final stretch of 2023…
All we hear are lies from the illegal regime, I believe inflation is running at 30%+. We were just at the grocery store yesterday and paid 35.00 dollars for a 15lb. turkey and they ranged up to a high of 100.00 dollars. Grocery prices are going up daily and so is everything else. As stated we grow weaker by the day, there is no time like right now to make our stand, we must or we die.
Tom, check out yesterday’s post at Appalachian Homestead, she did a piece on this subject with price comparisons from 2021-2023. Her avg worked out to 62+% inflation. (DRenegade, sorry if mentioning another site is inappropriate, though t it would be pertinent)
Thanks Kal Kal.
What did you expect? Roses and sunshine? It’s going to get worse. The national media said the cost of a Thanksgiving meal has dropped. If you eat oatmeal for a Thanksgiving dinner. All lies and falsehoods. While we can be thankful for another year, we have nothing to be thankful when it comes to personal liberty.
Groceries are up, car insurance is way up, and rent is going up, big time. Hope I don’t have to move to big butt Mississippi to survive. How can they stay so fat when they sweat all the time?
There is an interesting video on Bitchute today featuring Alexander Macouris (The Duran) and Michael Hudson that throws a spotlight on the decisions made by the Clinton administration’s decision to move the US from having a manufacturing base to being a services based economy and how this figures into the state of our nation today.
it started before all of that… in the mid and late 60’s, textile mills were closed throughout the south… like Miliken.
Well, the economy is going off the rails-gradually. Suddenly will be another matter which NO ONE can predict. I did the pre-holiday shopping today for the girls. COSTCO was a madhouse, but there was plenty of product. Fred Meyer was somewhat crowded, but the shelves were stocked full. The real test will be when the shortages start.
Keep in mind, Mr. Snyder makes his living publishing fear porn. A broken clock is right twice a day. Stay vigilant and prepped. But continue to live your lives, loving those around you. Que sera, sera. Bleib ubrig.
