All this makes me think of is the Costner/Charlie Waite quote from Open Range:
“once it starts, it’s gonna be messy like nothing you ever seen.”

The only thing odd about this, is that there’s still only one side that builds culture. It doesn’t really matter on the large scale that there are still some individual families that want to uphold traditional values, what matters is that they’re not able to wield the influence needed to affect things on a wider level, which raises the question as to why those not affiliated with the far left political policies can’t agitate on the social, economic and political fronts. A family is not an island unto itself for instance, and if a particular social way of life is desired you’ll have to build it collectively. If heterosexuality is desired as the default unit of society it will have to be cultivated. This expectation of many conservatives and the like, of expecting everything on the cheap (with a vote) sums up why they’re in this position of continual alienation and further diminishment of rights. Think about why the political left wields the influence it does and come up with a plan; the weak link of much of the political right has always been the lack of the people connection, the individual aspect thereof, unless it relates to hyperindividualism. Whereas the political left at least seems to get people emotionally involved at the individual level.
