In the words of SC Justice Louis Brandeis; “Our government teaches the whole people by its example. If the government becomes the lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.” “If we desire respect for the law, we must first make the law respectable”.
When the state becomes the lawbreaker it leaves a vacuum. When the state can not or will not enforce the law it creates a vacuum. Vacuums are filled. The people will fill that vacuum. The Left will call it vigilantism.
Heart breaking on every level. This wasn’t “a gun owner’s house”. This was “The People’s House”. The impregnable barriers between ordinary citizens and their elected officials have become so institutionalized that no one seems to recognize that the real tragedy was the behavior of the Congress men & women. Why weren’t they out speaking to their people? Why weren’t they out on the steps offering solutions? No, my congressman, Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) was the first one through the barricaded door to hug the shooter and assure him that, “He did what he had to do.” Mullin is to be promoted to Senate soon for his “work”. I understand the perils and real threats that politicians face, but I also understand that politicians have become entitled celebrities in their own minds. From beginning to end, this was the result of a coddled, weak, corrupt political class and their fantasies of personal worth and power. Pride, the sure sign of the devil’s presence, is all over them. Ashli Babbit didn’t deserve what she got and the divas on the other side of the door haven’t gotten what they deserve either. What started out as a patriotic gathering has become a festering wound. Hey, Markwayne Mullin, where have you been this past year concerning either protecting the election process or the J6 Pelosi political prisoners? I pray for America and her people, but not her parasites.
