A Message from Samuel Culper…

In May, we launched the new online training area at ForwardObserver.com because, like you, we believe there’s a high likelihood that the U.S. goes through a very turbulent period, perhaps within just a few short years.

When I started teaching intelligence skills to concerned citizens, it wasn’t because I thought it would help us to prevent a turbulent period, but because it would help us navigate one.

My goal — my aim with this training project — is to create 1,000 intelligence collectors and analysts in the next 12 months. That’s 1,000 intelligence officers who can jump into the community security or disaster preparedness mission and make an immediate impact.

1,000 intelligence officers who can serve their community and neighbors through maintaining situational awareness, threat intelligence, and early warning.

1,000 intelligence officers who can direct efforts to gather and analyze information, and provide decision-makers with the intelligence they need to make well-informed and time-sensitive decisions.

It doesn’t matter if we’re preparing for the next hurricane, a cyber attack, or any number of potential events that can cause large scale systems disruption: intelligence reduces uncertainty about the future.

We need real-time intelligence to make real-time decisions about the safety and security of our families and neighborhoods. And intelligence doesn’t produce itself. During the next disaster, no one is going to just give us what we need; we have to make it ourselves.

What we’re building is a network of information sharing. In addition to being equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to protect your own community, you’ll also have the opportunity to help out by volunteering to provide real-time intelligence support to real-world efforts like humanitarian aid and disaster recovery operations right here in the United States.

This approach to creating intelligence officers is going to pay huge dividends for the next disaster, whether it’s natural or man-made. The chance of another disaster is 100%, so if picking up a few skills can help you secure your community, make your family a little bit safer, or potentially have even greater benefits, then I’m happy to teach these skills if you’re happy to learn them.

Get the training, get certified, and jump on an area mission team. We’re already looking at a number of ways to provide overwatch and reach back capabilities for wildfires, hurricanes, and other disasters we might experience over the summer and fall.

I’m so very excited about this new project, and the possibility of making a lasting impact on the Patriot and Preparedness communities.

Always Out Front,
