We will survive COVID-19. It is bad and it will get worse. The economy will collapse but that was only a matter of time based on Western nations’ debt.
I wish:
- The government would respect the people enough to tell us the truth. The President is not stupid but in this case, he does not have the background to understand the severity of the situation.
- The medical establishment would band together and start preparations for the pandemic. The CDC is not competent (or politically motivated) to address COVID-19.
- The federal government would issue a national state of emergency. Each individual state that issues a state of emergency only adds to the confusion concerning the virus.
- The people would understand that there will be no magic vaccine that will save the world for at least a year. And that assumes that the vaccine does not initiate the secondary antibody-dependent enhancement pathway for secondary infections which has a 30% case fatality rate.
- The government would increase the quarantine period to 48 days minimum: 27 days for latency and 21 days for recovery. And this does not include the infectious period of possibly 14 after someone recovers.
I believe that the majority of people in the United States will act responsibly in the face of a crisis. Trust in the Lord with all of our hearts and we will be stronger even though this method of tempering our souls is a hard lesson.

There is a difference between fear mongering and the truth. It appears that you are stuck on the 2nd stage of truth whereas I am in the self-evident stage.
Excellent list of good ideas. Told my wife the same things at lunch today.
IMO, the Biggest Problem we face is the government Actions regarding the Pandemic -- it is already Obvious their Actions are Endangering us -- either they are Grossly, Stupidly Incompetent, OR they INTEND for this to be a goat-f-kk of ‘biblical proportions’, so as to Increase their Control over us, AND make Profit$ for their (((banksters))).
I consider the unprepared Sheeple as nothing more than potential Zombies, and as Always, ALL government agents as the Enemy.
Prepare accordingly.
The Spanish flu didn’t collapse the economy. this wont either. the economy will suffer to be sure. this bug has the same kill rate as the Spanish flu did ~3% but fortunately doesn’t seem to be killing healthy young people like the 2nd wave Spanish flu.
The virus isn’t the big threat. its the people’s reaction. there will be runs on food supplies. in some areas there will be looting.
