A Question about Comments

I deleted a comment on this site and this comment asked why:

NCRenegade/ David DeGerolamo owes us an answer.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I agree with Michael’s comment that as the owner and moderator of the site, I am not required to respond. But as readers here know, I address people’s concerns about NCRenegade and asked which comment was removed. As I suspected, it was a link with no commentary and had nothing to do with the article to which it was attached.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

From the about NCRenegade.com line on the top menu:

Comments are always welcome but we reserve the right to use our discretion on the validity of the comment’s intent. Comments which are intended to incite or provoke readers will not be posted. Comments that are off topic or make false/misleading accusations will be deleted. That includes adding links to other articles that are not pertinent to the article’s content. Comments that include foul language will be deleted.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I do not ask for any monetary compensation for this site or my time to manage it. This is my decision and it is a very small part of what I am doing to save our children’s future. The reason for the above comment requirement is that I have had too many people try to promote their own blogs on this site. Another reason is that people want to add links to other sites because they feel it is important even though it is not relevant to the article. If a comment has only a link without any other text and is not relevant, it is deleted.
As I have written several times before, there is a mechanism outlined in the about NCRenegade link to send me information that people feel is important:
If you want to have a link added to the site, click here to send an email to David DeGerolamo.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I review the links that are emailed to me according to the policy and decide if I will post them. If posted, I provide a hat tip to the sender for their support.

As for this case, Tom has been notified in the past and even apologized when called out in the past. As for Michael harassing the man who stated that I owe the readers an “explanation”, I will only ask why people are asking for clarification of a clearly stated policy on this site.

Anyone is welcome to start a website like NCRenegade. I think anyone who does so, will be surprised at the cost, time and aggravation that it entails. If anyone would like their money back from me for a well stated commenting policy, let me know and I will gladly refund your money back ten fold.

It took me a while to remember the link I posted, and as you stated I forgot to add my relevance to the article. Fed.gov is all in on putting their thumb on the scales on stealing this election, they are immoral, unethical and disregard half of the country. They are prepping the ground for the violence they know will happen once they install their puppet. And my belief is they will put kamala Harris in the White House and the other half of the country will be satisfied, with the most secure and fair election in our history. This is your site and I respect that, thank you for all that you do.

I thought the link was pertinent to the article, which is why I asked why it was removed. I find value in this site and look forward to everything here, and I am thankful that David takes the time to put it out there.

You don’t have to explain anything David. You are the one here taking the most risk. At the end of the day the rest of us are just text on the screen. The content of that text may or may not resonate with the browsers/commenters. But that’s okay. Everybody has a chance to stand on the soap box. A place to vent, learn from each other, rejoice, and think about issues of the day is appreciated. Thank you David and God Bless you.

Yes, it is important for all of us to comment on each article that goes up when we need to and being fair about it, and what are our thoughts about it. Yes, we all know need to be more observant when we right things or take things out of context of which I have on some occasions. but we are all human and sometimes emotions take over when we see things go on that are just outright ungodly and amoral.
