A Sad Commentary

Yes. I remember the influx of Cubans from Castro’s regime. It went on for years. The Cubans, the Hungarians, the Russian Jews, the Polish, the South Americans, all running from Communism toward the hope of the world, the good old USA. I also remember the book, The Ugly American, and subsequent movies beginning to eat away at the American ideals and spirit. What I did not know then was that it was the beginning of Communism coming full blown into our country, culture, educational institutions, churches and temples, and take over of our government. I remember heated Public Planning meetings where the “expert” Alinsky trained City Planners insisted that the environment necessitated the zoning out of manufacturing from cities into the, where ever, possibly the third world.
But, having lived the history and been active in the struggle to stop the systematic deconstruction of our families and communities…then accepting that only mitigation was feasible…and finally realizing that only big, corporate money had a voice…is really not worth the price of mediocre crank bait.
The biggest problem now is that we (Boomers) tried to be ‘perfect’ parents and raised kids who were pampered and sheltered from everything except drugs and multiple divorces. They in turn have raised kids who know nothing of value except coveting what ‘others’ have…like an i phone. They raised the kids today who define themselves as socialists and communists and Bernie Sanders supporters. The kid’s kids believe the Cuban protestors are pathetically warped because they have communism and socialism already. The kid’s kids truly think Biden is taking care of them. What is worse, the adults in these families are ‘so proud’ and won’t say anything to upset their progeny even if they understand the tragedy unfolding. You have to watch your ‘tone’. It started when Boomers listened to Jonas Salk instead of our grandmothers as to how to successfully raise kids.
The world of the American youth has been divided off from its natural roots just as East Berlin was walled off from West Berlin. Do you remember watching people trying to escape over the wall? Do you remember them being shot and killed? I do. The kid’s kids believe war games on video more than that nonsense.
My grandparents and parents were basic, good, Christian people from rural roots who lived out God’s economy.. It amazes that they knew so much and were so disciplined in their lives. They were far from perfect but I know for certain they made it to heaven. I wish I could say that about many of the people I love…
In God we find our Freedom. Without God there is no Liberty or Freedom. Can you even find a pastor to explain that one, much less a college professor, or TED Talk. That is why only the oppressed of the world keep the spirit of America alive while America entertains itself with ways to dismantle the relic we call God..
