Congratulations to Navy Seal Team number 6. Not only did you achieve your mission’s primary objective, you were also able to retrieve information from bin Laden’s computers and thumbdrives which may prove to be a turning point in the war on terror. Well it is a victory but let us not forget this defining moment in this war by our president and his definition of the war on :

or this promise to appease terrorists by closing Guantanamo Bay:

The following excerpt portrays the president as an effective commander-in-chief based on this one action.
By calmly and meticulously overseeing the successful targeting of Osama bin Laden, President Barack Obama just proved himself — vividly, in almost Biblical terms — to be an effective commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the United States.
“This was done for national security reasons, not political ones,” said Democratic strategist Mark Mellman, “but the political impact is clear. “No one is going to be able to run on a theme that the president is ‘weak on defense’ or ‘weak on terrorism.'”
This is a victory for the United States but the war is far from over. Hard choices need to be made quickly and decisively. I hope that this is the beginning of a renewed military policy by this administration that will never again use our soldiers and their families hostage over their pay for political motives.
As President Reagan showed us, Peace through Strength when dealing with terrorists:
