Great video, Questions. How far does it transmit/ receive, how much does it cost. where to get one. Is it a ham radio? Thanks for all you do.

It is a handheld unit that is VHF/UHF (dual band) so it range is limited to line of sight within 5 miles. A better antennae will extend its range. You can buy it from practical preppers’ link shown on YouTube or amazon.com. I personally like the Standard Horizons HX-370S for its durability. The units in the video are about $125 at amazon.com.

Thanks David, I’ve seen similar radios that are mini Hams, just figured they cost a lot.
