i believe the Romans and their daughters melded their religion with paganism and that is how we have what we have today.

I clicked on this with some skepticism. I wasn’t familiar with Rachel and the holiday is always so over dissected and rabidly hyperbolized you don’t need another couple of talking heads.
I caught this after Christmas and am glad I didn’t miss it. Listening to Rachel makes me ashamed of my own walk. He causes me to want to improve my walk.
Both men articulated the various meanings of the holiday well. We don’t need to overthink it. It doesn’t matter what day Christ was born. We come together one day a year to celebrate that He was born. We are all the better for it.
Satan hates Christ and our Faith. All these symbols are pokes in his eye and he lashes out at anything that points to Christ. Whether it’s a Creche or Santa or Christmas tree. They all point to the One we’re really celebrating and he hates that……and us.
