Dozens of runners with ties to the Cape Fear region competed at today’s Boston Marathon, but it’s unclear whether any were in the vicinity of two blasts that injured nearly two dozen and killed two people.
The group includes many veterans and soldiers from Fort Bragg, including a team of runners from Team RWB, a nonprofit that connects veterans through physical and social activities.
On Twitter, the national Team RWB organization said it had 17 members in Boston and had heard from a dozen of them.
The organization said some of its members sprang into action to help the wounded and tweeted photos of a man wearing a red Team RWB shirt helping injured people.
