Because People Want Hope, They Will Sell Our Freedom

We want peace. We want security. But all of us want hope at this time. Our hope should rest in the hands of God but for a Socialist country to maintain its power, the leaders must transfer dependence from religion to the state. Although Obama overplayed his hand in the past week by trying to expedite this transfer of dependence, part of the Christian church stood up. And this becomes the crux of this presidential election: a Republic or a Socialist state.

We must come back to the two factors that will impact the election. Votes will continue to be bought as almost half of the population is receiving some form of government handout. For those reading this post, it is difficult for us to comprehend how someone would give their freedom away for a few pieces of silver. Have you asked anyone who is receiving their “share” from the government what they want? They don’t want anything else but more. And “more” means voting for Obama in November.

The second factor is more insidious. As the interactive graph above shows, job creation has rebounded solidly under the stewardship of Obama. People who want hope for a better future will see this graph, with the assistance of the media, after the Republican candidate is selected. The disinformation on the unemployment rate could easily be shown on the government’s own site: unemployment without manipulating the labor force is over 9%. And yet the “good news” is trumpeted by the media across the world. How will the lack of education and disinformation by the media impact the election? Twenty percent of GOP voters will be “leaning” to vote for Obama:

The latest WND/Wenzel Poll shows none of the current crop of Republican presidential candidates has solidified the base of the party, with one in five GOP voters leaning toward support of Obama in November.

The results are from the public-opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies. The poll was conducted by telephone Feb. 1-3, 2012, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.44 percentage points.

If 20% of Republicans will vote for Obama, imagine the percentage of taxpayers (people who still understand that it is our money the government is redistributing) who are Democrat or Unaffiliated/Independent who will vote for Obama. Combine these two factors and the future looks bleak.

I had considered adding a third factor to this analysis: campaign contributions. Obama will have $1 billion to spend on his re-election and he will not have to spend any of it on a primary challenger. With the very fate of the country at stake, let us hope that the GOP candidate will receive funding from business in what might become the last gasp of our Capitalist nation. Presidential elections are not financed by American citizens at this level of  spending: We the People will not have any impact on the election results by our contributions in 2012 so this factor is out of our control.

Most of us have not read Thomas Paine’s “The Crisis“.  Read these words now and take heart that the faith required to found our nation will once again be heard in our churches and in our hearts:

THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated. Britain, with an army to enforce her tyranny, has declared that she has a right (not only to TAX) but “to BIND us in ALL CASES WHATSOEVER” and if being bound in that manner, is not slavery, then is there not such a thing as slavery upon earth. Even the expression is impious; for so unlimited a power can belong only to God.

The analogies to the above excerpt are striking to our current situation. The usurpation of power by the executive branch has been brought forth into the light in the president’s State of the Union address, his invocation of the NDAA, his executive orders and his imposition of Socialist values over religious doctrine. What does America need to survive? It is the same answer that George Washington realized when he put up our nation’s first naval flag (the Washington Cruisers’ flag):

Will Freedom be highly rated  in this election or will “hope” guided by manipulated statements and ignorance give us tyranny with open arms? We know where to make our appeal for Freedom.
