The Seattle City Council voted Monday to acquire, either through force or negotiation, this waterfront parking lot. Myrtle Woldson, 103, of Spokane owns the lot and has declined to sell it. The city wants to use the lot for short-term parking even though short-term parking is currently allowed on the property.

Seattle used eminent domain to steal a waterfront parking lot in order to make it a waterfront parking lot.
