BOARD OF DIRECTORS INTERVENES, SAYS IT ‘WILL NOT ALLOW’ APARTMENT COMPLEX TO IMPLEMENT CONTROVERSIAL POLICY BANNING GUNS

About 24 hours after Denver’s 9News reported on a local apartment complex’s controversial policy banning firearms, the board of the Douglas County Housing partnership held an emergency meeting on Wednesday and decided the policy would not be implemented.

The Douglas County Housing partnership reportedly owns the Oakwood Apartments in Castle Rock, Colo. The complex was purchased with federal funds and is “supported by local, state and federal tax dollars,” 9News reports.
