At the most, only about 50% of restaurants will survive. That will also solve some of the labor problems they have. However, if total collapse comes, none will survive.

I must disagree; many of us from the “wheat penny” birthing years, have turned to dining out rather than cooking at home. it is cheaper for couples to do this rather than to go out, purchase groceries, bring them home, cook them, and finally consume them.
This is not to say we don’t have extensive food storage. We are just getting our food made elsewhere while it is still available.

Restaurants by me, still can’t get enough help. The prices are going through the roof. Might be ok for you, but business is down in restaurants here. As inflation rises, more and more people can’t enjoy eating out. A buddy of mine has a fast food place in a mall. He says nearly all his customers are people with EBT cards. Few others.
