Considering that things are going to continue to get worse in multiple areas, today might be the best day that will ever be.
Be thankful for today, because today is the best Wednesday ever.
Take advantage of these days while you have them, they will never come again.
Good plan, if you are covered for an EMP or CME, you are good to go.
While I have LP filters on my solar PV system, and it is separate from the grid, I also have backups for the electronics and can run the system manually.
Redundancy is the key for all critical systems.
I have lived on a homestead for fifty years. At least weekly if not daily, something fails. Last week the rats chewed through the wires on the tractor and water pressure tank sprung a leak and then a trickle charger for the 4 Wheeler died! The week before the chlorine injection valve broke!
Key issues are redundancy, KISS and the rule of two ( one is none and two is one) and Murphy is alive and well. I have been an engineer and really try to keep it simple and robust, but when you are trying to be self sufficient, there are many systems.
An important issue is to make all new systems accessible for repairs. After fifty years, I finally got tired of digging up the inlet to the septic tank, every time it got plugged up, and put in a man hole access box and one for the clean out. This is my third septic tank, our acidic water eats the concrete, we now have a
plastic one.
beginning June 1 we will no longer be “allowed” to purchase antibiotics for our animals without a prescription. Get what you need now. If you were stocking for cross species use -- https://jasemedical.com/
