According to Alignable, 37% of Real Estate offices could not pay 11/22 rent. HGTV shows can make real estate selling appear very lucrative.
As a result, many get into the industry. In 2020 there were 1.49 million registered agents. In 2021 there were 1.56 million. I suspect many got into the industry as a last resort to earn a living.
Also, Alignable reported that 41% off small business owners could not pay rent in 11/22. This was a polling of 6326 small business owners.
All of this info is heartbreaking.
