I have been buying chlorine for my water system for decades, paying a dollar or so per gallon. Today I went to a local grocery store and a dollar store, to get a dozen gallons, paying $3.57 to $7.45!

I think I read about problems in a large chlorine plant, and it having to shut down, this could be part of the problem.
None the less, safe water is essential for life, as is chlorine to sanitize it! I have stored dry chlorine as a backup, but would pay almost anything for it!
Do stock up on it.
