CNN Host Demands Netanyahu Take Responsibility For Civilian Casualties

On Sunday’s State of the Union with Candy Crowley, the CNN host demanded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu take on some of the responsibility for civilian casualties as Hamas terrorists continue their attacks against the Holy City.

Crowley told the prime minister that not only is Israel in a war with Hamas but also a war with the headlines — those that bemoan Israel’s role in causing the deaths of innocent civilians. Crowley asked, “Are you making more enemies than you are killing?”

Netanyahu explained that Hamas is misleading the entire world by using the deaths of its civilians to paint Israel as the aggressor. The prime minister emphatically stated that Israel is not targeting civilians. “But we are faced with a very ruthless terrorist organization. Not only are they targeting our civilians, but hiding behind their citizens as human shields,” he told Crowley.

Netanyahu reminded the host that Israel asks for Palestinian citizens to evacuate before retaliations but Hamas urges them to stay. “Why are they asking them to stay?” he asked. Then he answered his own question, “Because they want to pile up more and more dead bodies of Palestinian civilians.” In summary, this allows the narrative to shift in Hamas’s favor, thereby manipulating the world.
