Comments

One of the reasons that I maintain this site is to get a feel for people’s opinions on events and issues. Obviously, trolls are called out or their comments are deleted as are threats against me. If anyone is interested in the commenting policy, it is outlined in the “about NCRenegade.com” link.

I have noticed an increase in vulgar language recently and attribute it to the state of affairs that this nation is facing. I also noticed that many people just are negative. I understand but have you ever considered that a bad attitude never wins a war? Its only impact is to reduce morale or jeopardize a project/idea/plan.

If you do not have something positive or a positive strategy, you are part of the problem. Here is a better example. I wrote that our country will decline regardless of who wins the election. I would like to believe that team unity will defeat the Deep State but do not see how they can under the constraints of the Republic. That would be negative without an alternate plan which I believe would offer a better future: balkanization.

If you are not a troll and you want a better future, please offer sapient advice and/or options. In other words, if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Also consider opsec: commenting to kill someone is not an effective strategy unless we are in a declared war. While that may become our path after Tuesday’s election, it is bad opsec now.

Thanks for continuing to host this site! We don’t know the tenth of the threat abuse that you must deal with here.
BALKANIZATION! My “Magic Word.” I’ve used it thanklessly for a decade but, as we approach a very spicy time, the concept of Balkanization as an exponentially less bloody compromise for a Nation that cannot live with itself, seems, each day, as a viable thing to consider.
Think: the partitioning of Yugoslavia without the carnage.

It begins to appear to be the best possible solution. Perhaps we could co-exist next to liberal cities (city states) and states if not subject to their tyrannies? I don’t know, I only know that the alternative begins to look bloodier and bloodier. .

I think with four years of Trump at the helm we will see some improvments and have some relief, but we all know it will be short lived once he is gone because we have no idea who we’ll get next time.

I’m probably one of the people guilty of coarse language, and apologize. One thing I’ve learned since moving down to ETN, is the language difference. No offense, not saying its right, but last time I was back home I laughed at tbe high school stockboys at the Italian deli dropping F-bombs like nothing. I’ve heard catholic priests put drill instructors to shame! Its just one of the differences in culture between parts of the country.
Why federalism will fail and states rights is the solution… if we’re to stay a union.

Pertaining to vulgar language. I have had to rephrase my comments a number of times because I wanted to use it.

You are correct in your assumption that it is a sign of the current times.
