In more damaging leaked documents from the NSA, it has been revealed that starting in 2014 all mail will be processed through a new postal facility that will receive, open, scan, and then distribute all letters and parcels mailed in the US or abroad that will be delivered to US addresses. Currently there are several mail receiving centers where all incoming parcels from foreign countries are currently inspected for drugs or other banned or dangerous substances like beauty products. Starting next year it is not only planned to open all parcels, but to start scanning all letters so that the content of each envelope can be digitally imaged and then stored in the massive NSA data center.

Not only will it level the playing field, but provide more embarrassing images on social networking sights as NSA employees share some of the more racy correspondence with family and friends.
The cost of this service will not be cheap however. Rumors of a three fold increase in postal rates will be well justified taking into account all the added security that will be provided to the motherland.
