How much more information do we need to see their intent for the American citizen? They want us dead or on our knees, everything they do is with malicious intent. I pray that God almighty give us the resolve to stand and take back our liberty and freedom.
Our farm costs have gone through the roof. 2019 costs for fertilizer and herbicides for corn averaged $335-425 per acre, beans a little less, last year $2,218 and projections are $2,900-3,500 for 2023…the costs are rolling and hard to nail things down. Bulk Feed grains are up $55-68%. Who knows about diesel? Diesel is down becasue trucking is down but come April-May we could see $7-9 dollars. Farm Credit is now pushing 7.5%…rememeber we have to push all these costs down so when Hamburger is $25 per pound or steaks are $39 don’t blame your farmer…we’re trying to survive! It sucks knowing our own government is selling fertilizers & diesel to the Chinese and restricting us. Or allowing Saudi and Chinese owned farms in the US to use as much water as they want but restricts local farmers.
Today at the grocery store: deli little cheese, chicken had major sections empty, cream (for coffee) unobtainable for weeks. Eggs, in short supply and the “cheap” ones that used to be $0.79 were almost $5.00. What the hell is going on?
Over the last several years, I’ve done my my best to support local farms, of which we’re blessed to have here in rural NC. I haven’t griped about the prices being higher than the commercial stores and recognized that their costs are higher than big corporate ag. On the flip side, when COVID hit in 2020, you couldn’t find chicken, my local farmer asked, how much do you want? I gave her a price point, she sent a message and said, it’s in a box in the freezer on our farm with your name on it, go get it at your convenience,
