I’m reminded of Reagan’s statement that a government bureau is the closest thing to eternal life. Eventually Musk will return to his true interests and this will be just another government bureaucracy that grows forever and accomplishes nothing.

Trump has unlimited their role and at the same time set a date to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Declaration of Independence. At the same time conclude their term.
Trump amazing on how he does things that no other has done.
Washington Deep Swamp and The View will be going nuts for the next two years.
I’m looking forward to see the waste slow to stop. Of course our unemployment may rise, for once that would be worth it.

There are several initiatives that can give them a head start. The Citizens Against Government Waste annually publishes the Congressional Pig’s List. The Department of the Environment puts out an annual report on the generation of waste. I’d look carefully at any expenditures conceived and spent in the last quarter of any year (spend it or lose it purchases). Gosh it sounds like so much fun to these ex-Auditor’s ears!!!

Vivek and Elon have a solid plan to reduce the amount of federal employees but what happens after four years? Too early to tell but it’s a worthy try.
