Why Are Socialists Afraid of Christianity?

England may ban the display of the cross in the workplace stating it is not a requirement of the Christian faith. This may be a true statement but why would a cross or crucifix offend anyone? What is so offensive about a belief in a Christian God? Or is it fear? We can dismiss this story since it does not impact the United States or is the United States actually impacting the rest of the Christian world?

Did anyone ever believe that the White House would dictate religious doctrine to a group of Catholic bishops?

At a recent meeting between staff of the bishops’ conference and the White House staff, our staff members asked directly whether the broader concerns of religious freedom—that is, revisiting the straight-jacketing mandates, or broadening the maligned exemption—are all off the table. They were informed that they are.  So much for “working out the wrinkles.”  Instead, they advised the bishops’ conference that we should listen to the “enlightened” voices of accommodation, such as the recent, hardly surprising yet terribly unfortunate editorial in America.  The White House seems to think we bishops simply do not know or understand Catholic teaching and so, taking a cue from its own definition of religious freedom, now has nominated its own handpicked official Catholic teachers.

Did anyone ever believe that the president of the United States would make a personal phone call to a woman and state that her parents should be proud of her immorality? But  the Obama administration’s hostility against Christianity has been outlined in detail by David Barton starting in April 2008.

Why are Socialists afraid of Christianity? The answer is simple: Socialism must transfer the people’s dependence from God to the government in order to maintain power. The transformation of America to Socialism taking place today is easily documented. Immorality and government dependence are not Christian principles and this country was founded on Christian principles and law. Will the churches across the country cower in fear of the government or will they stand up for Freedom that was given to us by God?

Christians have no right to wear cross at work, says Government

In a highly significant move, ministers will fight a case at the European Court of Human Rights in which two British women will seek to establish their right to display the cross.

It is the first time that the Government has been forced to state whether it backs the right of Christians to wear the symbol at work.

A document seen by The Sunday Telegraph discloses that ministers will argue that because it is not a “requirement” of the Christian faith, employers can ban the wearing of the cross and sack workers who insist on doing so.

The Government’s position received an angry response last night from prominent figures including Lord Carey, the former Archbishop of Canterbury.

He accused ministers and the courts of “dictating” to Christians and said it was another example of Christianity becoming sidelined in official life.

The Government’s refusal to say that Christians have a right to display the symbol of their faith at work emerged after its plans to legalise same-sex marriages were attacked by the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church in Britain.
