There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.”
— James Madison, Speech to the Virginia Ratifying Convention [June 16, 1788]

…the opinion which gives to the judges the right to decide what laws are constitutional and what not, not only for themselves in their own sphere of action but for the Legislature and Executive also in their spheres, would make the Judiciary a despotic branch.”
— Thomas Jefferson

As I witness the ongoing leftist opposition and media bias against individual freedom, I realize how wise were those who drafted our constitution. All governments move toward total control. History does show us, however, that Big Government generally prevails and promptly destroys those who have helped them achieve control.
