FEMA bureaucrats have a sweet gig; they do no actual relief/resupply work but are just the on/off site (more usually, off) “supervisors” who have ONE MAJOR FUNCTION: they are the “checkbook” that compensates their “preferred vendors” who do the actual work.The above is why FEMA blocks/hinders/directs LE to arrest those who are NOT “preferred vendors.”As well, volunteers are an embarrassment and they detract from the bureaucratic operations inherent in any FEMA-directed shyt-show.The contrast, between a white-shirted bureaucrat at a microphone and a man who guides a mule-packing supply train at zero compensation, could not be greater.Stop it, already! But imagine the in-laws, politically-connected & other even more unsavory types who can land these contracts by any and all means.No possibility of bribes/kickback or skimming in this system, of course! These dedicated fed agents and their cadre of hand-picked “preferred vendors” work tirelessly for several hours each day (after arising from their well-deserved rest in sometimes $1000/day hotel rooms) recharged and eager (after breakfast) to get to the real work of the day (like giving glowing reports to the TV cameras, checking as to the whereabouts of their “preferred vendors,” scanning the base areas for unauthorized (read: “uncompensated”) rescue & relief volunteers, and reporting back to their FedGov masters.What a sweet ride it is!
