The commodities shown above from CNNMoney.com shows the impact of the drought on the price of corn, soybeans and wheat. All three surpassed 52 week highs today (July 18, 2012). Couple this with the price of gasoline once crude oil spikes from the impending war in the Middle East and our standard of living is about to undergo “shock and awe”.
It would be a prudent measure to stock up on food at this point.
