Mother was arrested for meth last year.

I’d like to know how they can charge the shooter as an adult, AND charge his father for not controlling the minor.
Is it an adult, or is it a child? They’re trying to have it both ways. If the parent is complicit, the shooter must be tried as a child. If the shooter is to be tried as an adult, then the parent is not on the hook for their behavior.
Honestly Joe, I tend to disagree. When the lights go out and someone harms me or mine, I’m going to see that everybody that ENABLED the troublemaker dies.

Joe: Since this shooting was on school property, the only people allowed to carry are the SROs. And like in any such situation, when seconds count, the cops are just minutes away. But before anyone starts opining schoolteachers should be armed, think about the can of worms you are opening.
Schoolteachers are, for the most part, in La -La Land. They view fire drills, lockdown drills, and other such practical safety considerations as annoyances. Plus, most of them have a pathological fear of firearms. I speak from my experiences and a 30-year Peace Officer and a credentialed schoolteacher. I was fired and threatened with arrest from my job as a Teacher’s Aide at a high school here in Kootenai County after I was observed carrying concealed on school property. It did not matter I was in compliance with both state and federal law as a retired Peace Officer.
Schoolteachers and their administrators will always be in denial about what goes on in their districts. I have seen it repeatedly. I do not know where your A/O is, but in Kootenai County there has been a substantial surge in homeschool co-ops, STEM and Charter Schools, Christian and Catholic Schools, and even one of Hillsdale College’s feeder high schools. Parents are starting to vote with their feet. I know I will not live to see it, but I pray their comes a day when FEDGOV indoctrination centers, aka “Public Schools” have gone the way of the dodo bird. Bleib ubrig.

Yes. Sad and frustrating. Plus, the CDA 271 school district is going to ding the sheeple in their district again with a 2-year $25 million/year levy. I do not live in that district. PF is bad enough.

I was 8 when my father bought me a .22 rifle. Never shot anyone with it. It was kept in a glass gun case, unlocked.
Now, I am absolutely sure if my father had bought me an evil black gun when I was 8, I would have turned into a genocidal maniac. And it would have been dad’s fault for putting evil in my hands.
