German Retailers To Increase Food Prices By 20-50% On Monday

Just days after Germany reported the highest inflation in generation (with February headline CPI soaring at a 7.6% annual pace and blowing away all expectations), giving locals a distinctly unpleasant deja vu feeling even before the  Russian invasion of Ukraine broke what few supply chains remained and sent prices even higher into the stratosphere.

On Monday, Germany will take one step toward a return of the dreaded Weimar hyperinflation, when according to the German Retail Association (HDE), consumers should prepare for another wave of price hikes for everyday goods and groceries with Reuters reporting that prices at German retail chains will explode between 20 and 50%.

I guess people are this stupid in Germany. A 7.6% inflation rate increases the price of food 20-50%?

The price of gas in the US was $2.20 in June, 2020. The price of gas today is $4.20. That is a increase of 68.2% in 22 months. Let’s make it easy and round up to 24 months. That means an inflation rate of roughly 30% annually for energy. I will forego any food calculations since prices seem to be going up hourly. How long can you hold out with an annual inflation rate of 30%?

Time to pick up our guns and restore the Republic, these tyrants want us dead and dying. What is our recourse? Do you think they are going to change their course willingly? Nobody wants to do what needs to be done, we have no other choice but what the founding fathers knew would happen. When your children and family are asking you for food, what will you tell them?

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

The Costco nearby us was mad crazy yesterday, literally more than a mile long line of cars to get in the parking lot, backed up onto the freeway exit. I have never seen that here before. Apparently the sheep are getting restless. Just wait ’til Fall. Just wait ’til ’23-’24. It’s going to get so much more interesting.

Can you say Weimar? Same decadence. Inflation ramping up and forecast to be similar. Where’s our strong man? Hitler and his crew may have done some evil. I won’t minimize that, but look how quickly he turned Germany from Weimar to a miracle of prosperity. Those who look closely will see it had to do with how money was created and who didn’t have control of it. Everything wrong with the West could be cured virtually overnight with the right leadership, but that leadership would need to be ruthless in purging the deviants, leftists, criminals, etc. We, in the West, may have grown too soft for such a cure.

Some people never learn! I have a 5 thousand mark note from 1922 and a fifty million mark note printed on one side from a year later; as worthless now as when printed. These were given to me by my father in law, back in 1980.

Having gone through WWI, hyperinflation, WWII and then the DDR, you would think the Germans would learn. People don’t seem to learn from the past or anything at all. It appears as though Europe is ready to do it all again! Stupid, just plain stupid, I am appalled at my ancestors stupidity!

I am also appalled at Americas willingness to give its freedom to its idiot leaders! Stupid just plain stupid!
