The Analysis & Control Element (ACE) is the intelligence element. I’ve talked at great lengths about why forming a central intelligence element is necessary. In my courses, I’ve gone into how we’d set up an ACE and talked about some central tasks and responsibilities. The ACE is the brain of your community, and is a critical component to your post-SHTF security. Intelligence information gets funneled into the ACE, and the conclusions these analysts make greatly affect your ability to understand what’s going on in real-time.
In a post-SHTF environment, having an ACE is going to make or break your community’s security. If you don’t have a way to track threats and events in real time, then you’re always going to be behind the curve, and your family’s security will be greatly affected.
On Monday, 12 January 2015, I’ll pick up our series of live webinars to talk about how we should set up a community ACE. I’m going to give you insights into what it should look like, what we should be doing, and how we should handle incoming intelligence information. We’ll follow up the talk with a live Q&A, just like we always do.
