The above map shows the detonation and nuclear fallout of a 10 kiloton nuclear bomb detonated over Washington, D.C. This would be a low end strike used by a country like North Korea or a terrorist Muslim organization. The fallout extends up the Northeast corridor through Baltimore.
A strike from Russia or China would be more devastating.
