Major problem, the Universities like NC that has ties to Wuhan and the virus. Then all the dam yankees moved in and brought their liberal politics with them that they moved away from. look at the furniture industry—NC was the hub of the country for manufacturing furniture and shipped it all to China and then Hollywood found it—-the list goes on—-One problem remaining like the guy said—the good ole boys out of the city. Moonshiners used to be plentiful don’t know about now—ask me how I know—I went to school with them in college and played ball. By the way the best beaches unfortunately were discovered by the rich guys that ran the prices up—Wrightsville Beach—a gem !!!! My wife was from there originally —beach babe—lol Forgot—one of Trumps boys wife is from there too—-
As one of those “damn Yankees” who moved down and stayed, I can tell you that I’m about as conservative as it comes (and a whole lot more conservative than some of my in-laws who are true southerners). So are a huge number of other yankees both in the south and up north. Check out a map of the 2016 election -- NY is mostly red with the exception of NYC, Albany, Buffalo, etc… Just like in NC -- the big cities and the colleges are what does you in. The big problem is that the left IS very active and we have not been. We need to get off the couch and get involved in stuff like school board meetings, local political meetings, etc. Educate our young people in history -- our school system sure doesn’t do it. If possible, people need to take their kids out of the indoctrination camps formerly known as schools. Its up to every one of us to try to save this nation.
I agree with everything said here. We should be engaged in school boards , local issues that effect us at home , etc . The left , ( communist ) have been working on our kids for years , first , in the colleges, now in the grade schools . And it’s in the open , they don’t care that we know it . My point is , we should be fighting back at our school boards , taking our kids out of these indoctrination centers , putting these kids in Christian schools or even home schooling to protect future generations. But it takes time to turn things back around , the wolf is at the door now , the damage has been done , a lot of these young people from college down , are full blown lefties. So what now. How do we get on top of this , too show that America is truly the last hope for mankind, that freedom is gone if America falls I think it’s time for everyone to get off there butt , pay attention and speak up and speak out . All hands on deck , talk to people get engaged. Nuff said
Agree with this guy. I too am a former yankee. I live in metro NC, and most of the leftists I know are southern born and bred. It’s not a yankee problem, its an urban problem. Its an education institution problem. Its a big business problem. More upper middle class educated people are leftist than not, it seems.
