I feel that our politicians (Even Republicans) no longer care about us and view us with distain.

Even Republicans? When have the so-called republicans ever loosened the restraints of the federal leviathan on, we the people? Being a conservative does not equate with being a Republican.

Nixon sold us out by ending the Gold Standard.
Most GOP have never been on our side. They only serve their donors. Just remember that. It includes the Military IC, Big Pharma, Banks and big Govt. Not us.
Think about what Bush did to us with the help of the GOP.
Two endless wars, (plus more important, the blood, lives and limbs of patriots) Medicare Part D, Homeland Security, (which currently does nothing for our security) THE TSA! I will never forget Kay Bailey Hutchinson telling us that she wanted the TSA workers to have a career! The Dream Act, so everyone could own a home. Followed by the Bank bailouts.
Then with Trump and the GOP (Paul Ryan) they spent more and never got rid of Obama care. All of the Bush agenda was led by the known pedophile, Denny Hastert. and they knew. But he had a lot to hide therefore he was picked, same as Paul Ryan, he only gained.
I dare you to add to add to my list so we can carry it to the polls.

God is allowing our nation to be destroyed because of the filth and vile perversions our government is pushing down the throats of the people with illegal mandates, illegal laws, ilegal judicial edicts and so on, the media broadcasts the filth and lies as truth while knowing they are lying thru there dirty teeth. The sins of our leaders have now been exposed and God will surely destroy our country for there wicked ways. We have been weighed in the balances and we are going down most likely into a brutal civil war and God is Holy for something like the perversions for him to look the other way. Remember sodom and Gomorrah and what happened to them.

This Government is no longer the government of the people and has not been for quite a while. Why participate in a system that is out to enslave and kill us. We are on our own and better start getting aggressively defensive instead of cooperating with the communist interlopers.
