I’ve been asked to be a contributing blogger for III ARMS. I’m going to take this time to introduce myself. First, I’m just about as average as anyone can be. I’m probably even average at being average. I’m not athletic, I’m not beautiful, I’m not wealthy. Like many of you I have a family, go to work, come home, and then do it again the next day.
I am the least experienced with firearms within this group.
The reason I’m telling you this is because not everyone is at the same level in their abilities and knowledge with firearms. III ARMS isn’t just for avid gun nutters. It is for everyone and anyone who has the desire to be able to protect themselves and their property. It is for average Americans who have the courage to take the responsibility of taking control of their own lives.
I was born and raised in the western part of the United States. People owning and using guns was as common as breathing. Even though I lived in a culture where guns were no more out of the ordinary than any other everyday tool, I was never taught how to use a firearm. The only thing that was drilled into my head was “Do Not Touch the Gun.” Period. Perhaps it was the era I was born and raised in, perhaps it was because I was a girl, maybe both. As far as I’m concerned now, it’s irrelevant because I am determined to to be able to come to a point in time where I will be able to pick up any firearm and use it with confidence.
