Not mentioned above is Turkey. Look for them to be also become involved. And just to let you know--Pakistan has assured them that their nuclear arsenal would be made available to Turkey in any escalation with Israel.

This is not the 1980’s when Israel walked into Lebanon and imposed its will. Not hardly. Since then, these surrounding countries have been upgrading their arsenals with weapons that are on par with that of Israel--especially anti-armor weapons. Expect any incursion into Lebanon to be met with devastating ATGM’s decimating their armor. Expect massive missile barrages into Israel’s major cities, overwhelming their Iron Dome defenses. FYI the last barrage of missiles by Iran was just a test of Israel’s capabilities--which were defeated in two locations….one being the most advanced and heavily defended military base in the world and the other being a intelligence listening post in northern Israel (destroyed).

Iran doesn’t need to have full atomic weapon capability--all they need to do is to tip their heavy missiles with dirty-bombs… and even if the Israeli’s manage to shoot them down--they will contaminate large swaths of Israeli territory. Imagine a huge Iranian missile barrage of dirty-bomb upon Haifa or Tel Aviv… effectively making these areas like Fukushima City (uninhabitable).
